METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MEASURING PHYSICAL PARAMETERS IN A TRAMPOLINE COMPETITION
20200271685 · 2020-08-27 · ·

For the method and system (1) for measuring physical parameters, several motion sensor assemblies (2) are arranged in different positions on a trampoline (10) and activated to measure any motion over time during jumps performed by a competitor on a trampoline. Following the processing of measurements made in each sensor assembly, data signals are transmitted to a base station (25). As a result of the various measurements received over time from each sensor assembly, the base station determines a time of flight for each of the competitor's jumps, and a position of contact of the competitor on the bed (21) to award points to the competitor for the performance of a determined number of jumps during the competition.

A METHOD AND DEVICE FOR RETRIEVING BIOMECHANICAL PARAMETERS OF A STRIDE

A method for determining biomechanical parameters of the stride of a runner, using an accelerometer device on the wrist, on the upper arm, on the head or on the shoe, comprising the steps of measuring an initial sequence of acceleration data in at least the vertical direction using said accelerometer device; identifying in said initial sequence of acceleration data at least one frequency component caused by relative motion of the accelerometer device relative to the runner center of masse; attenuating said frequency component, so as to determine a modified sequence of acceleration data; determining said biomechanical parameters from said modified sequence of acceleration data.

SYSTEM AND METHODS FOR GOLF BALL LOCATION MONITORING
20200269121 · 2020-08-27 ·

Technologies are disclosed herein for one or more sensors arrayed adjacent to a golf course playing surface to track the trajectory and determine a resting location of a golf ball it travels along the golf course playing surface. The sensors may include motion detecting sensors that may determine various measurements related to the location and/or movement of the golf ball, such as an initial impact location, a velocity, and/or a direction of travel of the golf ball along the golf course playing surface. The signals from the motion detecting sensors may further be used to determine a resting location for the golf ball and/or a rate of acceleration/deceleration of the golf ball. The various signals may be averaged together to determine a velocity and/or direction of travel of the golf ball.

Exercise machine

The present invention relates to a multi-gym machine which enables a user to perform a plurality of different exercises for the whole body. More specifically the present invention relates specifically to a power tower machine in which the user utilizes a combination of the user body weight (calisthenics) in addition to variable elastic bands to provide additional assistance or resistance. This advanced power tower hereby disclosed incorporates an arrangement of multiple handles, various pulleys, elastic cables and steel wire connected to a special waist belt to be put on by the user. The elastic cables depending on their anchor points either from the top or the bottom pulley, generates assistance or resistance to the user respectively for the specific workout. A set of sensors, processor and Bluetooth transmission unit is integrated on the power tower to process, transmit, process and manage several workouts performance indicators via a dedicated mobile application offering a virtual coaching capabilities. Also with internet connection, the mobile application offers an IoT (Internet of Things) concept enable virtual competition with other users using the same machine and mobile application.

Systems and methods for controlling a self-paced treadmill using predicted subject velocity

Systems and methods are provided for enabling a split belt treadmill having two belts to self-pace. A feedback process estimates a first current step speed for a user on each belt by measuring stride length and step duration. A feed-forward process estimates a second current step speed for the user on each belt by measuring three forces and three moment components associated with foot contact with the belt. A command speed for each belt is produced by combining the first and second current step speeds with a Kalman filter. A belt speed associated with each belt is adjusted based upon the command speed.
