Exercise apparatus
An exercise device comprises a base. A power mechanism and a vibration mechanism are each disposed in the base. The power mechanism powers the vibration mechanism. The vibration mechanism provides linear vibrations through the base of the device in a first axis parallel to a longitudinal axis of a user standing on the base. In some embodiments, the device is substantially free of vibration in a plane orthogonal to the first axis and is substantially free of rotational vibration in any direction at a time when the vibration mechanism provides the first plurality of linear vibrations. In some embodiments, the vibration mechanism operates between 10 and 60 Hz. In some embodiments an exercise kit is provided that includes the referenced exercise device, an exercise bar, and one or more elastic bands, each elastic band for removably coupling the base to the exercise bar.
TO EXERCISE EQUIPMENT
A control system for controlling one or more of a plurality of exercise apparatuses across a network comprises a processor; a communication subsystem configured to communication with the plurality of exercise apparatuses across the network; and memory for storing information about one or more users. The information comprises, for each user, identity information, including a user identifier; and a resistance level indicator. Upon receipt of a user identifier from an exercise apparatus in the network, the processor is configured to identify the resistance level indicator stored in the memory corresponding to the user identifier, and cause the communication subsystem to transmit to the exercise apparatus the resistance level indicator for that user. Upon receipt of a performance parameter of a user from an exercise apparatus in the network, the processor is configured to determine whether or not to modify the resistance level indicator of that user stored in the memory based on the received performance parameter.
ELECTRO-STIMULATION TYPE INDOOR BICYCLE
An electrical stimulation indoor bike includes a stationary bicycle; an electrical stimulation unit connected to the stationary bicycle either with wire or without wire, and including an electrode pad for applying electrical stimulation to a user's body; and a control unit to control electrical stimulation of the electrical stimulation unit in accordance with an exercise mode of the stationary bicycle. By the electrical stimulation indoor bike, a variety of electrical stimulation according to pedal movement is applied to a body through an indoor bike connected with a low-frequency stimulator, thereby maximizing exercise effect.
System and method for measuring and adjusting physical resistance for athletic activities and fitness equipment
Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture for measuring and adjusting physical resistance for athletic activities and fitness equipment are disclosed. An example system includes a user-wearable sensor to measure a first level of physical effort during a first athletic activity using fitness equipment and to generate sensor data indicative of the measured first level of physical effort. The example system also includes a controller to receive the sensor data to perform a comparison of the sensor data and data from second athletic activity indicative of a second level of physical effort, and automatically generate a control signal to adjust a setting of the fitness equipment based on the comparison.
Cordless treadmill
A cordless treadmill includes a deck assembly including a frame, a belt system, an incline adjustment system, and a generator system; and a display assembly that supports an electronic display device above the deck assembly for displaying information to a user. The incline adjustment system includes a lever and a lift motor, the lever having a first end rotatably coupled to a frame of the deck assembly. The generator system includes a flywheel generator coupled to at least one of a forward or rear roller and configured to generate electricity as a result of the at least one of the forward or rear rollers rotating with respect to the frame, wherein the flywheel generator is configured to provide power to the electronic display device and the lift motor.
Basketball shot practice station with court projection mapping
A basketball shot practice station with movable positioning of the backboard and basket relative to a stationary shooting position of a user. A projection-mapped court image is projected on the floor of the station from the viewpoint of the user based on the basket position. Cameras image the shooter and the ball flight. A control system analyzes the shooter's technique and ball trajectory, categorizes the shot results, and automatically adjusts the basket position to produce a given success rate by the user. It stores a profile of each user, and updates the user's shooting statistics and skill level based on the shot results of each session. It initializes the profile with a default skill level based on initial input data. It may estimate a user's age, height, and strength based on their image and weight. It increases the shot distance and backboard angles with increasing skill level.
WEARABLE EXERCISE APPARATUSES
An exercise apparatus includes a pair of apparatuses wearable on feet of a user. Each apparatus is configurable between expanded configurations and compressed configurations to simulate a selected motion when the user wearing the pair of apparatuses travels by foot. One of the apparatuses can move towards an expanded configuration while the other apparatus moves towards a compressed configuration.
Upon receipt of a performance parameter of a user from an exercise apparatus in the network, the processor determines whether to modify the resistance level indicator of that user based on the received performance parameter.
Deck adjustment interface
A treadmill includes an exercise deck. The exercise deck includes a platform, a first pulley incorporated into the platform at a front end, a second pulley incorporated into the platform at a rear end, a tread belt surrounding the first pulley and the second pulley, and a plurality of tilt actuators incorporated into the platform. The treadmill also includes an upright structure. The upright structure includes a console, a tilt controller incorporated into the console in communication with the plurality of tilt actuators, and the tilt controller having a multi-dimensional input mechanism.
Braking system for a treadmill
A braking system for a treadmill having a tread that rotates around a front axle and a rear axle and a side rail on each side of the tread that does not move includes a brake configured to apply a braking force to one of the front axle and the rear axle, a controller in communication with the brake, and a weight sensor under each side rail configured to detect a load indicating that a user is standing on the side rails, each weight sensor in communication with the controller. The controller is configured to, when the tread is moving, engage the brake when a first signal is received from each weight sensor contemporaneously that a load is detected and disengage the brake when a second signal is received from each weight sensor contemporaneously that the load is removed.
