EXHAUST GAS PURIFICATION SYSTEM FOR VEHICLE,

Disclosed herein is a vehicle exhaust gas purification system and a control method thereof that may effectively remove nitrogen oxides in an exhaust gas even in a cold state. The control method may include a step of performing a rich control for controlling a concentration of non-combusted fuel contained in the exhaust gas flowing into the housing to be a rich fuel directly after the starting of the engine; a step of performing a lean control for controlling the concentration of the non-combusted fuel contained in the exhaust gas flowing into the housing to be a lean fuel; a step of determining a temperature of the exhaust gas flowing into the housing; and a step of performing a normal control for controlling the concentration of the non-combusted fuel contained in the exhaust gas flowing into the housing so that lean fuel and rich fuel are periodically repeated at regular intervals.

Method and systems for exhaust gas recirculation

Various methods and systems are provided for reducing cylinder-to-cylinder variation in exhaust gas recirculation. In one embodiment, a system comprises a first cylinder group of an engine having a first number of cylinders, a second cylinder group of the engine having a second number of cylinders that is not an integer multiple of the first number of cylinders, and an exhaust system coupled to the first cylinder group and the second cylinder group. In at least one mode of operation, the exhaust system has exhaust ports of the first cylinder group fluidly coupled to an intake of the engine and exhaust ports of the second cylinder group fluidly decoupled from the intake.

Apparatus for reducing greenhouse gas emission in vessel cooperated with exhaust gas recirculation and vessel including the same

The present invention relates to an apparatus for reducing greenhouse gas emission in a vessel cooperated with exhaust gas recirculation (EGR), and a vessel including the same, in which NO.sub.X generation is reduced, which is the original purpose of EGR, while maintaining existing EGR, SO.sub.X as well as CO.sub.2, which is the representative greenhouse gas, are absorbed and converted into materials that do not affect environments, and the materials are discharged or stored as useful materials, thereby preventing corrosion of an engine and improving combustion efficiency.
