An air filter device for a motor vehicle includes a housing with a receiving space for a filter element where the filter element has a respective first projection that projects from each side wall near one of two transverse walls. The housing has two opposite housing side walls, both of which have at least one link each in which the first projection of the respective side wall of the filter element is insertable in a first link end region directed in a first direction. A respective second projection projects from the side walls near the other one of the two transverse walls and the housing side walls each have a second link end region directed opposite to the first direction into which the second projections are insertable such that the filter element is located in an operating position in the receiving space of the housing.
Filter Element for an Air Filtration Device of a Motor Vehicle and Air Filtration Device
A filter element for an air filtration device of a motor vehicle includes a frame where the frame has an elastically deformable front wall which extends perpendicularly to an insertion direction of the filter element in a receiving chamber of a housing of the air filtration device. A fastening element is disposed on the frame where a lid of the air filtration device is fixable on the fastening element and where the lid is configured for closing the receiving chamber. An insertion bevel is formed on the frame wherein via the insertion bevel the front wall can be brought into an elastically deformed state during an insertion of the filter element into the receiving chamber. An inherently rigid component is mounted on the frame in an area of the front wall where the fastening element is formed integrally with the component and the component has the insertion bevel.
MASS AIRFLOW SENSOR AND HYDROCARBON TRAP COMBINATION
A combined mass airflow sensor and hydrocarbon trap is provided for absorbing evaporative hydrocarbon emissions from an air intake duct of an internal combustion engine. The combined mass airflow sensor and hydrocarbon trap comprises a duct that supports a hydrocarbon absorbing sheet in an unfolded configuration within a housing. The duct communicates an airstream from an air filter to the air intake duct during operation of the internal combustion engine. An opening in the housing receives a mass airflow sensor into the duct, such that the mass airflow sensor is disposed within the airstream. Guide vanes extending across the duct reduce air turbulence within the airstream passing by the mass airflow sensor. Ports disposed along the duct allow the evaporative hydrocarbon emissions to be drawn into the interior and arrested by the hydrocarbon absorbing sheet when the internal combustion engine is not operating.
AN AIR FILTER HOUSING AND AN AIR FILTER ELEMENT
An air filter housing has an inner housing space adapted to receive an air filter element. The air filter housing includes a first housing end and a second housing end located axially opposite the first housing end in relation to the inner housing space, and an outlet pipe extending from the second housing end axially into the inner housing space. The outlet pipe has a center axis and an opening configured to receive clean air from the inner housing space, wherein at least an axial portion of the outlet pipe has a cross-sectional area along a geometrical plane perpendicular to the centre axis which is tapering.
Variable valve device of vehicle air intake system
An embodiment variable valve device of a vehicle intake system includes a variable valve housing fixed to a housing of an air cleaner and including a valve passage penetrating the air cleaner, a variable valve flap rotatably coupled to the variable valve housing and configured to perform opening and closing operations based on an intake negative pressure of an engine to open and close the valve passage, and a cam protrusion and a leaf spring provided on the variable valve flap and the variable valve housing, respectively, wherein the cam protrusion and the leaf spring are in contact with each other.
Motorized working apparatus and air filter
A motorized working apparatus includes a housing having an air inlet, an air guide leading from the air inlet into the housing, and an air filter which is curved hood-shaped outwardly and covers the air inlet of the housing. The air filter includes a filter frame body with a filter-fabric-free air outlet face facing the air inlet of the housing and with a window frame structure protruding over the filter-fabric-free air outlet face and having at least one window region. A filter fabric occupies the at least one window region, and a fixation releasably fixes the filter frame body to the housing. The window frame structure has frame webs which delimit the at least one window region and which protrude relative to the filter fabric towards an air supply side in the at least one window region and include web side edges which run sloping at an obtuse angle relative to adjacent window planes, and/or the fixation includes a pre-fixing clamping holding arrangement and a final fixing holding arrangement which are independent of each other, and/or the window frame structure of the air filter protrudes over the filter-fabric-free air outlet face in the shape of a roof with a triangular cross-sectional form.
METHOD FOR MOLDING A SEALING DEVICE ONTO AN END FOLD OF A BELLOWS, CASTING SHELL ASSEMBLY AND FILTER ELEMENT
In a method for molding a sealing device onto an end fold of a pleated bellows, wherein the end fold comprises an outer side and an inner side, the pleated bellows arranged in a casting shell assembly is embedded in a curable sealing material, limited at a rim of the pleated bellows by a casting chamber formed by the casting shell assembly. Expansion of the curable sealing material is reduced or prevented by a limitation element contacting the inner side of the end fold. A casting shell assembly has top and bottom casting shell parts forming a casting chamber to mold a sealing device onto the end fold of the pleated bellows by a sealing material. The bottom casting shell part has a channel for receiving the sealing material. The channel has an upwardly projecting limitation element for engaging an inner side of the end fold.
