A fuel system includes a low-pressure fuel delivery unit and a high-pressure fuel delivery unit which has a low-pressure region and a high-pressure region such that the low-pressure region supplies fuel to the high-pressure region which supplies the fuel to a plurality of high-pressure fuel injectors. A low-pressure fuel rail supplies fuel to low-pressure fuel injectors. A low-pressure fuel injector line is connected at a first end directly to the high-pressure fuel delivery unit and receives fuel from the low-pressure region and is connected at a second end directly to the low-pressure fuel rail, thereby providing fluid communication from the low-pressure region to the low-pressure fuel rail. A device is located between the low-pressure region and the low-pressure fuel rail and reduces fuel pressure pulsations.

A testing apparatus for a fuel injector includes an upper mount for receiving an inlet of the fuel injector; a lower mount located beneath the upper mount for receiving a nozzle end of the fuel injector; and at least one of a removable inlet adaptor and a removeable outlet adapter. The inlet of the fuel injector fits into the inlet adaptor to allow a flow of fluid to be delivered through the inlet adaptor to the fuel injector and removable from the upper mount. The removable outlet adaptor removable from the lower mount.

A high pressure fuel pump includes a pump housing, pressure and damper chambers, a metal diaphragm, a press-fitted portion, and a weld portion. The pressure chamber is provided in the pump housing. The damper chamber is formed by the pump housing and a damper cover. The metal diaphragm damper is arranged in the damper chamber. At the press-fitted portion, an annular surface of the damper cover is press fitted to an annular surface of the pump housing. The weld portion fixes the damper cover to the pump housing at an entire circumference of the press-fitted portion.

There is provided a damper unit that allows a plurality of damper bodies to be installed by simple work. The damper unit includes at least two damper bodies that are installed in a housing space so as to be stacked and include hermetically sealed spaces therein. The damper unit further an elastic member 7 that is disposed between the damper bodies, and a stopper that is installed across outer peripheral edge portions of the damper bodies positioned at both ends.

A fluid damper includes a body defining a fluid chamber and a first opening. The body is formed by a first cover and a second cover joined along an axial direction. A damping device is suspended inside the fluid chamber to damp pressure pulsations. The damping device is constrained by a peripheral edge. The damping device divides the fluid chamber into first and second sub-chambers. The first cover has a first wall portion into which a second wall portion of the second cover is received. A hermetic seal is formed between the first and second wall portions. The second cover has a terminal edge lying within the first wall portion of the first cover, the terminal edge being segmented into a plurality of fingers that cooperate with a ledge surface of the first cover to pinch the peripheral edge of the damping device.

A pulsation damper includes: a case in which a fuel chamber is defined; and a damper unit arranged in the fuel chamber to attenuate pressure pulsation of fuel. The damper unit has a diaphragm that is elastically deformed by receiving pressure of fuel, and a plate having a rigidity higher than that of the diaphragm. A gas chamber is defined between the diaphragm and the plate joined with each other.

A filter system for filtering a fluid has at least one filter housing with a first housing part and a second housing part. The filter housing has at least one inlet and at least one outlet for the fluid. A fluid path extends between the at least one inlet and the at least one outlet. At least one filter element is arranged in the at least one filter housing in the fluid path. At least one damper element is provided that is completely or partially filled with the fluid at least after an initial filling. The at least one damper element is provided with a volume that, at least in operation of the filter system, is filled completely or partially with the fluid. The volume is separated from the fluid path.
