Fuel-supply assembly for internal combustion engine and method for assembling the same
A universal fuel-supply assembly is adaptable during manufacturing to be made for use with one of multiple different fuel types (e.g., gasoline or diesel fuel). A method for assembling a fuel-supply assembly includes providing a plate structure configured to be secured to a fuel tank. The plate structure has multiple bosses. According to one example, the method determines whether the fuel-supply assembly is for use as a diesel fuel-supply assembly or as a gasoline fuel-supply assembly. The method provides an opening through one of two different bosses that communicates with both the top side and the bottom side of the plate structure depending on whether the fuel-supply assembly is for use as a diesel fuel-supply assembly or a gasoline fuel-supply assembly.
INTEGRATED SMART FUEL FILTRATION SYSTEM
An integrated fuel water separator filter system is provided. The fuel water separator filter may include a plurality of fuel water separator filters, with at least one fuel water separator filter including electronic sensors to monitor the life of the fuel water separator filter and the amount of water present in the fuel water separator filter. A heater heats the fuel in the fuel water separator filter.
DIESEL FUEL FILTER FOR VEHICLE
A diesel fuel filter for removing foreign substances and water contained in fuel used in a high-pressure fuel pump upon lubricating and cooling the high-pressure fuel pump is provided. The diesel fuel filter includes a lower cap for draining water including a double-lock cover and a double-lock pin to provide a double-lock structure to prevent fuel leakage caused by unfastening of the lower cap due to impact or vibration during driving of a vehicle.
Inline dump-able fuel system dust filter with pressure relief valve
A number of variations may include a product comprising a dump-able filter comprising: a filter body; a filter assembly, wherein the filter assembly is seated in the filter body; and a filter cap, wherein the filter cap attaches to the filter body and encloses at least a portion of the filter assembly. In some embodiments the filter assembly may include a filter carrier that includes a pressure relief valve.
Method for limiting engine torque when error occurs in water sensor of fuel filter
A method for limiting an engine torque when a failure occurs in a water sensor of a fuel filter includes sensing the failure of the water sensor installed in the fuel filter through a failure diagnosis logic in a diesel hybrid vehicle. A current vehicle driving mode is checked when the failure of the water sensor is sensed. Whether or not a first time period elapses a first delay time after sensing the failure of the water sensor when the current vehicle driving mode is an engine driving mode is determined. The engine torque is limited and reduced when the first time period elapses the first delay time.
INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE WITH AMPLIFIED MAGNETIZING EFFECT
An internal combustion engine includes: at least one magnet (10) inserted into at least one immersion container (8) present in the fuel tank (3), at least one magnet (20) applied on the cooling duct; at least one pair of magnets (30) arranged on the fuel duct, the fuel duct defining a coil; at least one pair of magnets (40) applied on the air suction pipe; and at least one pair of magnets (50) applied on the fuel filter, the magnets (10), (20), (30), (40) and (50) being permanent magnets including rare earth elements. The internal combustion engine includes at least one metal sheet (1) including paramagnetic and/or ferromagnetic elements applied on at least one portion of at least one internal surface (2) of the tank (3).
Engine
An engine operable in a premixed combustion system and a diffusion combustion system. The engine includes a main fuel injection valve, a pilot fuel injection valve, a liquid fuel tank, a main fuel supply path, a pilot fuel supply path, a pilot fuel filter, a pilot fuel high-pressure pump, a pilot fuel tank, and a pilot fuel supply pump. The pilot fuel tank stores pilot fuel sent from the pilot fuel high-pressure pump and not injected by the pilot fuel injection valve. This pilot fuel is sent to an automatic backwash filter and a pilot fuel filter while not passing through the liquid fuel tank.

FUEL FILTER
A fuel filter used with a supply of liquid fuel and with an engine has a housing formed with a filter chamber, with inlet and outlet ports respective connected to the supply and to the engine and opening into the chamber, and with a throughgoing return passage juxtaposed with the filter chamber and extending between a return-fuel inlet connected to the engine and a return-fuel outlet connected to the tank. A filter element is in the chamber between the inlet and outlet ports. Fuel moves in a circuit from the supply to the inlet port, thence through the filter element in the chamber, thence out the outlet port to the engine where a portion of the fuel is consumed and a portion of it is heated and flowed back to the return-fuel inlet, and thence through the passage and out the return-fuel outlet to the supply.
Fuel filter
A fuel filter assembly includes a filter housing defining a cavity, a center stack having a base component and a top portion. The center stack is positioned within the cavity of the filter housing and attached to the housing, the center stack having an axial aperture in the top portion, the axial aperture having a circumferential surface, and a fuel filter. The fuel filter includes a filter base, an end cap having a top surface and a bottom surface opposite the top surface, an axial extension that extends from the bottom surface, and at least one prong attached to the axial extension, the at least one prong having an axial surface facing away from the top surface that axially locates the fuel filter in the housing against the circumferential surface, a filter element attached to the bottom surface of the end cap, and a pin attached to a filter base.
