PLAY APPARATUS FOR DEVELOPING BALANCE AND COORDINATION
20240261637 · 2024-08-08 · ·

A play structure for an indoor or outdoor playground is disclosed. The play structure comprises an inner molded unit made of poured-in-place (PIP) rubber subsurface. The PIP rubber subsurface is poured with a mixture of rubber buffing and urethane configured to deliver improved safety, playability, and reduced maintenance requirement. The play structure further comprises a synthetic outer layer adhered to an outer surface of the inner molded unit. The outer layer adheres to the outer surface of the inner molded unit using an adhesive layer. The play structure further comprises a flat bottom surface configured to mount over the playground system and a top surface with different angles. A set of play structures are shaped and arranged on the play surface to develop core strength, balance, and coordination in toddlers by walking, jumping, and climbing on them. Further, the play structure is provided in different design configurations.

A practice device for simulating a cheerleading stunt includes a frame that has a base plate and a top plate; a tubular shaft that extends between the base and top plates; a weight that is disposed in the tubular shaft; a spring that is disposed in the tubular shaft and that contacts and biases the weight; a shoe structure; and a mount that supports the shoe structure at one end thereof and that is constructed and arranged to be disposed within the tubular shaft with the spring disposed between the weight and the mount.

JUMP HEIGHT MEASURING DEVICE AND METHOD OF USE
20250108256 · 2025-04-03 ·

A jump height measuring device for measuring vertical jump height of a user includes a detector and a microphone, which are communicatively engaged to a microcontroller. The detector is positionable on a surface so it can detect feet of a user upon the surface and communicate a first signal to the microcontroller upon the feet leaving the surface. The microphone is attached to a landing mat, which is positionable on the surface proximate to the detector. The microphone detects a sound of the feet of the user landing upon the landing mat and communicates a second signal to the microcontroller. The microcontroller is programmed to calculate a height of a jump based upon a difference in time between receipt of the first signal and receipt of the second signal. The device also can be used as a timer and to assess Explosive Leg Power Force and response time.

A vertical jump training apparatus may include a weighted base, a pole attached to the weighted base at a first end of the pole, and an arm attached to the pole at a second end of the pole. One or more targets may be attached to the arm and may hang down vertically from the arm. The pole may extend vertically from the base, the arm may extend horizontally from the pole, and the targets may hang vertically from the arm. The targets may have a variety of lengths that correspond to different jump heights. The apparatus may be used to train an athlete to increase their vertical jump height.
