A fuel injection valve includes a body that includes an injection hole through which fuel is injected, and a valve element that opens or closes the injection hole. The body includes a metallic base material configured to form the injection hole, a corrosion-resistant layer covering a surface of at least a part of the base material that forms the injection hole and being made of a less corrosive material than the base material, and a sacrificial corrosion layer located between the base material and the corrosion-resistant layer and made of a more corrosive material than the corrosion-resistant layer.

Fuel injector systems, fuel injectors, fuel injector nozzles, and methods for making fuel injector nozzles

Embodiments are directed to fuel injectors for internal combustion engines (e.g. engines with reciprocating pistons and with compression-ignition or spark-ignition, Wankel engines, turbines, jets, rockets, and the like) and more particularly to improved nozzle configurations for use as part of such fuel injectors. Other embodiments are directed to enabling fabrication technology that can provide for formation of nozzles with complex configurations and particularly for technologies that form structures via multiple layers of selectively deposited material or in combination with fabrication from a plurality of layers where critical layers are planarized before attaching additional layers thereto or forming additional layers thereon. Other embodiments are directed to methods and apparatus for integrating such nozzles with injector bodies.

In a valve apparatus, a housing includes a plurality of through holes through which a fluid flows. A first valve member opens and closes a first through hole. A second valve member opens and closes at least one second through hole. A fixed core does not move relative to the housing. A coil forms magnetic field. A first movable core moves integrally with the first valve member. When the coil forms the magnetic field, a magnetic attractive force is generated between the first movable core and the fixed core. A second movable core moves integrally with the second valve member. When the coil forms the magnetic field, a magnetic attractive force is generated between the second movable core and the fixed core. A magnetic constriction portion is provided between the fixed core and the first movable core. The second through hole is opened after the first through hole is opened.
