Lower flange having a bracketing effect
A ski, wherein the ski includes: a ski core; a ski coating which forms an underside of the ski; a lower flange which is arranged between the ski core and the ski coating; steel edges; and side walls; wherein the lower flange includes at least a front region and/or a rear region which is broader, in a direction transverse to a longitudinal axis of the ski, than a distance between the steel edges in the direction transverse to the longitudinal axis of the ski in the region.
Split snowboard
A system and method for providing a ski-snowboard device capable of skinning in an uphill ski mode and skiing in a downhill snowboard mode. The system may include two skis with inner and outer edges having substantially concave side cuts, and an insert that fits into the space between the inner edge side cuts of each of the two skis. The concave side cuts of the inner edges of the skis may have a groove formed in each, and a mating tongue on each side of the insert can fit into the grooves in a downhill snowboard mode. The tongue-and-groove connection may improve the torsional stiffness of the board, and the concave side cuts may allow a user to better grip when skiing and eliminate the step of switching the skis when used as sides of the snowboard.
Board for carrying a person across snow
The disclosure herein is directed toward systems and methods for supporting a person and enabling motion of a person across a surface of snow while satisfying the countervailing requirements of increasing surface area for weight-carrying capacity on soft snow and reducing the opposing forces, like for example drag and friction, in hard snow. More specifically, a snowboard described herein includes an inner edge and an outer edge, and allows the rider to control the amount of board-to-snow contact. This snowboard is configured to improve rider support, increase speed and enhance safety performance.

Bindingless snowboard
A bindingless snowboard including: a deck having a platform, the platform includes a first deck side edge, a second deck side edge, an upper deck surface and a lower deck surface; a first extension secured to and extending from the first deck side edge; a second extension secured to and extending from the second deck side edge; a base having a first base side edge and a second base side edge, the base secured to the lower deck surface; a first carving edge secured to the first deck edge; a second carving edge secure to the second deck edge; a first sidewall spacer secured between the first extension and the first edge and positioned adjacent to the first deck side edge; and, a second sidewall spacer secured between the second extension and the second edge and positioned adjacent to the second deck side edge, wherein at least a portion of a first force applied to the first extension is transmitted to the first carving edge through the first sidewall spacer and at least a portion of a second force applied to the second extension is transmitted to the second carving edge through the second sidewall spacer.
Device and method of manufacturing for a snow and water sport sliding device with a pneumatic core
A snow and water sport sliding device with a pneumatic core and method of manufacturing the device. The device includes a top layer comprising a front tip, a middle segment with a binding plate, and a back segment with an adjustable air valve. Top layer may also include a blade spring system. The device also includes a main core component layer under the top layer that comprises of a hollow air chamber, and a base layer. Base layer may include embedded metal edge.

Snow sliding device
A snow sliding device includes a first end body on which one end of a boot is caught, a second end body provided on the opposite side of the first end body and on which the other end of the boot is caught, and a main body which is provided between the first end body and the second end body to connect the first end body to the second end body, and in which an edge surface facing the ground can be changed and selectively used. In the snow sliding device according to the present invention, an edge may be replaced from a deck or another surface of the main body may be used as the edge. Thus, when the edge is worn down, the edge may be replaced or another surface may be used.
