Hydraulic Pressurizing Medium Supply Assembly, and Method

A hydraulic pressurizing medium supply assembly includes a hydro machine which has an adjustable swash plate. An angle of the swash plate is able to be adjusted by way of a pilot valve. The pilot valve is able to be adjusted by a control. When the pilot valve is actuated by a neutral current, a valve slide of the pilot valve assumes a central position in which the swash plate does not perform any movement. In order for the pilot valve to be controlled it is provided that the control emits a control variable. The control variable, at the outlet side of the control, is linked and adapted to a preliminary control variable for the neutral current, in order for the neutral current to be pre-controlled.

DYNAMIC COMPRESSOR CONTROLS

A dynamic compressor control is provided. The dynamic compressor control includes sensors to sense operating parameters of a compressor and a compressor analytic software package. The compressor analytic software package uses the sensed operating parameters of the compressor to generate key performance indicators. The key performance indicators are used to calculate process variables for the compressor. The dynamic compressor control uses the sensed operating parameters and the process variables calculated from the key performance indicators to provide operating alarms and/or shutdowns.

Flow locking system and method

A pumping system and method including a flow locking feature. A pump controller includes a user interface configured to initially receive and set a plurality of programmed flow rate settings, a maximum locked flow rate, and a minimum locked flow rate. The pump controller is also configured to disable resetting of the maximum flow rate and the minimum flow rate once they are initially received and set and to allow resetting of the plurality of programmed flow rate settings throughout operation of the pumping system. The pump controller is further configured to operate a pump motor in order to maintain a first flow rate set by one of the plurality of programmed flow rate settings as long as the first flow rate is between the minimum locked flow rate and the maximum locked flow rate.

Non-limiting exemplary embodiments of a pumping system and methods for operating the pumping system in a region of high pressure or a region of high flow are disclosed. The pumping system includes a piston disposed within a piston cylinder, a drive shaft, an eccentric coupled to the drive shaft, a connecting arm having opposing first and second ends, and a controller for controlling the rotation of the drive shaft such that the piston oscillates within a region of high pressure or a region of high flow.

Controller and method of controlling a rod pumping unit

A controller for operating a rod pumping unit at a pump speed. The controller includes a processor configured to operate a pump piston of the rod pumping unit at a first speed. The processor is further configured to determine a pump fillage level for a pump stroke based on a position signal and a load signal. The processor is further configured to reduce the pump speed to a second speed based on the pump fillage level for the pump stroke.

A system and method for optimizing performance of an artificial lift system are provided. The optimization process can be performed automatically by a controller configured to receive optimization parameters from the user and information regarding the performance of the system. The optimization process adjusts the pumping speed of the system in response to measured rod load and a position of the downhole pump or surface pumping unit. More particularly, the optimization process can increase or decrease the pump speed of the system in response to the measured rod load at a reference position relative to a reference rod load at the reference position. The reference load and position can be selected to indicate pump inefficiencies. For example, the target reference load and position can indicate fluid pounding if the measured rod load at the reference position is greater than the reference rod load at the reference position.
