Electric compressor
An electric compressor includes a compression portion, an electric motor, a drive circuit that has a circuit board on which electronic components are mounted, a housing, and a resin member. At least one of the electronic components is held by the resin member with the resin member sandwiched between the at least one of the electronic component and the circuit board. The electronic compressor includes a first metal member that is in contact with the at least one of the electronic components, and thermally connected to the housing, a second metal member that is disposed in the resin member, and a bolt by which the first metal member and the second metal member are fastened with each other.
ROTARY MACHINE WITH ELECTRIC MOTOR AND IMPELLER
A rotary machine includes an electric motor, an impeller to be rotated by driving the electric motor and suck in and compress a gas, and a housing that houses the impeller and includes a suction port for the gas. The rotary machine further includes heat dissipation fins provided on the housing and disposed to be heat-exchangeable with the gas passing through the suction port, and an inverter connected to the housing and that controls the electric motor.
SCROLL COMPRESSOR AND AIR CONDITIONER HAVING SAME
A scroll compressor of an air conditioner includes a refrigerant discharge tube through which refrigerant discharged to an inner space of a casing is discharged into a refrigeration cycle, a venturi tube disposed adjacent to the refrigerant discharge tube in the inner space of the casing, and a liquid refrigerant discharge tube having a first end connected to the venturi tube and a second end opposite to the first end and communicating with the inner space of the casing at a lower side of the refrigerant discharge tube, where liquid refrigerant can be suppressed from excessively stagnating in the inner space of the casing.
Automatic oil level retention system for compressor and method for controlling same
An automatic oil level retention system for a compressor and a method for controlling a same, including: a normal oil return mode and an auxiliary oil return mode. When a lubricating oil liquid level monitored by a liquid level detection unit in real time is above a required liquid level height, the system initiates only the normal oil return mode; and when the lubricating oil liquid level monitored by the liquid level detection unit in real time is below the required liquid level height, the system initiates the auxiliary oil return mode, and the auxiliary oil return mode is closed and the normal oil return mode is initiated after the lubricating oil liquid level monitored in real time is lifted above the required liquid level height.
Method and apparatus for controlling a scroll compressor using torque progression to reduce vibration
The invention relates to a method used to control a scroll compressor having a first and a second spiral, in particular that are arranged one inside the other. The first spiral can be moved by a motor relative to the second spiral for a decompression or compression operation of the scroll compressor. The invention reduces vibration (actual acceleration forces) in the scroll compressor to allow for a longer service life by adapting a torque curve of the motor on the basis of measured acceleration forces on the scroll compressor which, in turn, is based on the position and/or positional angle of the first spiral relative to the second spiral such that the acceleration forces are reduced below a threshold or minimized.
SCROLL TYPE AIR COMPRESSOR
A scroll type air compressor provided by the invention utilizes an L-shape mounting frame for respectively mounting a compressor and a generator to a first mounting section and a second mounting section thereon. The generator is mounted to the second mounting section via a plate and is capable of being fine-tuned in displacement with respect to the plate, such that a second end surface of a second drive pulley of the generator can be made coplanar with a first end surface of a first drive pulley of the compressor. The position of the plate can also be adjusted up and down with respect to the second mounting section to a required position so that the distance between the drive pulleys of the generator and the compressor can be adjusted and the tension of a transmission belt can be determined.
Scroll vacuum pump and method of maintenance including replacing a tip seal of a scroll vacuum pump
A scroll pump has a tip seal between an axial end of the scroll blade of one of stationary and orbiting plate scrolls of the pump and the plate of the other of the stationary plate and orbiting plate scrolls. The scroll pump may have a ballast gas supply system and use the operation of the ballast gas supply system to assess the condition of the tip seal. Alternatively, the scroll pump may have two pressure sensors that sense pressure at two locations spaced along a compression mechanism of the pump to assess the condition of the tip seal.
Stirling engine power generation system
A Stirling engine power generation system comprises a first gas fired Stirling engine driving a scroll compressor to provide heat to a second Stirling engine powered generator. The second Stirling engine is partially submersed in a heat transfer medium that is heated by heat transfer fluid compressed by the Stirling scroll compressor and excess heat from gas firing. The invention further comprises a cam drive system with spherical cam followers, and multiple electrical generators.
Compressor and bearing assembly
A compressor is provided and may include a shell, a hub, an insert, and at least one collar. The hub may be disposed within the shell and define an axis of rotation. The hub may include an axially extending aperture. The insert may be disposed within the aperture. The at least one collar may be disposed about the hub.
Compressor assembly with liquid sensor
A compressor may include a shell, a compression mechanism, first and second temperature sensors, and a control module. The shell may define a lubricant sump. The compression mechanism may be disposed within the shell and may be operable to compress a working fluid. The first temperature sensor may be at least partially disposed within the shell at a first position. The second temperature sensor may be at least partially disposed within the shell at a second position that is vertically higher than the first position. The control module may be in communication with the first and second temperature sensors and the pressure sensor and may determine whether a liquid level in the lubricant sump is below a predetermined level based on data received from the first and second temperature sensors.
