In some approaches, the plurality of flutes and an inner surface of the housing define a plurality of fluid channels for delivering the working fluid from the first end to the second end of the housing member. In some approaches, the diffuser member is rotatably coupled to the housing member.

Compressing device

A compressing device of the present invention comprises a compressor, a heat exchanger, an expander, a power recovery unit, a condenser, a pump, a bypass flow passage for bypassing the expander, and a bypass valve. When a bypass condition for allowing a working medium to circulate through the bypass flow passage is satisfied, the bypass valve is caused to be opened, thereby allowing the working medium to circulate between the heat exchanger and the condenser through the bypass flow passage. As a result, a compressed gas discharged from the compressor is cooled by the working medium in the heat exchanger. This configuration makes it possible to cool the compressed gas by the working medium in the heat exchanger regardless of operation conditions of the expander.

RECIRCULATION GAS FLOW CONTROL AND DISTRIBUTION MODULE FOR FUEL CELLS

A recirculation gas flow control and distribution assembly that includes an electric motor and a pump coupled to the electric motor. The pump includes a pump housing with a pump inlet and a pump outlet. The pump inlet is fluidly connected to a recirculated gas. At least one nozzle is directly connected to the pump housing. A passage is formed in the pump housing and nozzle linking the pump inlet to the nozzle. An injector is coupled to the nozzle, the injector is fluidly connected to a fuel. A valve is disposed in the passage, the valve is movable between open and closed positions. The recirculated gas is selectively passed to the pump outlet and fuel is selectively feed into the nozzle.

A supercharged internal combustion engine is drivably connected to a variable displacement supercharger operable to continuously supply varying amounts of an air mass to the engine in response to the varying power requirements of the engine. The variable displacement capability eliminates blowdown losses of fixed displacement superchargers and substantially reduces the need for throttling of the intake air. The device also presents an air-motoring mode that can recover a portion of the engine throttling losses as positive power returned to the engine crankshaft when the engine intake manifold is below atmospheric pressure.
