Pump arrangement, axial-flow machine and compressor comprising at least one rotor having permanent magnets and a stator having a multiplicity of teeth separated from each other wherein the tooth tip has a substantially rectangular-shaped cross section
A pump arrangement includes an axial-flow machine and a drive to convey fluid mounted in a housing. The axial-flow machine is formed by at least one first rotor having permanent magnets, a shaft connected to the first rotor and a stator arrangement with stator teeth distributed concentrically around the shaft axis circumferentially and axially separated from the first rotor by an air gap. The stator teeth have axially-opposite end portions and a tooth core therebetween wound with at least one coil winding. The second end portion, turned away from the first rotor, of each stator tooth forms a tooth root joined to a back plate. The first rotor is an eccentric disk and on the side away from the stator arrangement has an eccentric cam, radially spaced from the shaft axis, and rotatably and torque-transmittingly connected to the drive. An axial-flow machine and a compressor includes the pump arrangement.
SUBSEA PROCESS LUBRICATED WATER INJECTION PUMP
A subsea water injection pump includes components that are cooled and lubricated by the process fluid. The pump includes opposing stages of impellers in a “back-to-back” arrangement such that the axial forces of the impeller stages partially or nearly fully offset each other. In some cases, a combination of barrier fluid and process fluid is used for lubrication and cooling.

SELF-BALANCING THRUST DISK
A thrust balancing apparatus for a pump includes a housing, a balancing chamber, a connecting tube, a balancing disk, a bushing, a washer, and a pair of upthrust washers. The balancing chamber defines an upper cavity and a lower cavity. The connecting tube is configured to establish fluid communication between the balancing chamber and an exterior of the housing. A first portion of the balancing disk is disposed within the upper cavity. A second portion of the balancing disk passes through the lower cavity. A third portion of the balancing disk is external to the balancing chamber. The washer is disposed between the balancing disk and the bushing. The pair of upthrust washers are disposed between the balancing disk and the balancing chamber.

PUMP MOTOR WITH A FIXED BEARING
A pump motor having a permanent magnet rotor, a containment shell, a wound stator, a motor housing, a pump head, a shaft, which is secured in the containment shell on the one hand and in the pump head on the other hand, and a fixed bearing, which is pressed or injected into the permanent magnet rotor and rotatably mounts it on the shaft. The pump motor provides a reliable and economically producible bearing of the permanent magnet rotor on the shaft in a generic pump motor, in which the bearing abutting uniformly against the shaft over the entire bearing length and during a complete rotation can be achieved, small angle errors can be compensated, and noises can be reduced.

CENTER BUSHING TO BALANCE AXIAL FORCES IN MULTI-STAGE PUMPS
A multi-stage pump featuring different stages configured to pump a fluid from a pump suction and to a pump discharge; and a center bushing configured between the different stages, having a center bushing side configured with pockets to balance axial forces between the different stages of the multistage pump. The pockets are configured as curved rib pockets, extruded circle or circular pockets, or full length rib pockets.
Geared turbofan with overspeed protection
A gas turbine engine has a fan drive turbine driving a gear reduction, the gear reduction, in turn, driving a fan rotor, the fan rotor delivering air into a bypass duct as bypass air and into a compressor section as core flow. A forward bearing is positioned between the gear reduction and the fan rotor and supports the gear reduction. A second bearing is positioned aft of the gear reduction and supports the gear reduction. The second bearing is a thrust bearing. A fan drive turbine drive shaft drives the gear reduction. The fan drive turbine drive shaft has a weakened link which is aft of the second bearing such that the fan drive turbine drive shaft will tend to fail at the weakened link, and at a location aft of the second bearing.
