Vertical Tilting Blade Turbine Wind Mill
The Vertical Tilting Blade Turbine Windmill device is for capturing kinetic energy from the wind and is comprised of a vertical shaft having a central hub connectively attached, the central hub having a plurality of wind capture arms comprising a rotating wind capture blade having a capture surface and a slicing edge that are rotated wherein the wind capture blades are rotated between a blade mode to capture the wind and a knife mode to pass with less drag resistance through the air/wind thereby enabling an increase in the ability to capture more of the energy available in an on-coming wind stream.
Ocean wind systems, subsystems, and methods with stabilization by assemblies of deep-water-masses with articulating floats
Methods and systems for operating a stable platform in a far-offshore deep-sea environment. The platform can advantageously be a wind power generation station. A structural framework carries (for example) the wind turbine in an elevated position. Multiple points on the floating structure are connected both to a surface float and to a deep mass (e.g. an enclosed volume of seawater).
WIND TURBINE AND WIND POWER STATION BASED THEREON
Proposed is a wind turbine having a vertical axis rotor mounted in a fixed cylindrical housing provided with outwardly opening shutters. The rotor consists of a rotating core comprising core blades fastened between two circular bases and forming a Ugrinsky rotor, and an annular impeller configured for independent rotation about said core. The impeller comprises impeller blades fastened between two ring-shaped bases and forming a continuation of the core blades, wherein common inter-blade channels are formed which narrow toward the centre of the rotor. Also proposed are wind power stations based on the wind turbines described above, said turbines being mounted vertically one above the other to form a generating tower, or being mounted on a facade of a high-rise building. Technical result consists, in particular, in increasing the efficiency of the wind turbine and making it possible to incorporate wind power stations into an urban environment.
ARTICULATED-WING POWER GENERATION
An energy generation system to generate energy from a fluid flow, the energy generation system including an extendable arm that extends into a fluid flow, a fin connected to one end of the extendable arm and causing, due to the fluid flow, the extendable arm to move from a first orientation within the fluid flow to a second orientation within the fluid flow, and a joint connected to a second end of the extendable arm that couples the extendable arm to an energy generator.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MAGNETIC MOTION TRANSFER IN WAVE ENERGY SYSTEMS
The present disclosure provides a system and method of producing unidirectional motion from a multidirectional source using magnets strategically placed to reduce the necessity of some physically interacting parts. Smoothened unidirectional motion can accomplish usable work in many applications.
Renewable Power Generation System for Vehicles
The present invention relates to an electric power generating system for vehicles. The system includes at least one wind turbine positioned to capture incoming air which is coupled to a wind generator for converting into electric power. The system has solar panels installed on the exterior surface of the vehicle such as trailer of a semi-truck for absorbing solar energy and converting into electric power. The electric power produced by the wind generator and the solar panels is stored in a battery pack for providing electric power to the electric battery of the vehicle. An emergency generator provides electric power to the vehicle when the power of both the electric battery and the battery pack is insufficient. The system slows down the depletion of battery charge, thus enabling the vehicle to stay on the road for a longer duration and improves overall charging experiences for the electric vehicle.
Wind turbine comprising a grounding system for transferring lightning current and for providing EMF shielding
A wind turbine including a hub to which the rotor blades are arrangeable, wherein the hub is rotatable around a rotating axis is provided. The wind turbine further includes a generator including a rotor arrangement and a stator arrangement, wherein the rotor arrangement and the stator arrangement are rotatable with respect to each other around the rotational axis. Further the rotor arrangement is coupled to the hub. The wind turbine further includes a grounding system which is fixable to a nacelle of the wind turbine, wherein the grounding system is configured for transferring lightning current between the rotor arrangement and the nacelle and for providing an EMF shielding of the generator, wherein the generator is arranged along the rotational axis of the hub between the hub and the grounding system.
In place machining of collector ring
A method for in-place machining of a collector ring attached to a turbine shaft of a hydroelectric generator includes: attaching a support member to stationary portions of the hydroelectric generator, the support member being configured to support a machine tool at an angle parallel to an inclination angle of an axis of rotation of the turbine shaft; attaching an adjustable positioning device to the support member; attaching the machine tool to the adjustable positioning device, the machine tool being configured to perform a machining operation on the collector ring; controlling a rotational speed of the turbine shaft to a specified rotational speed by controlling a flow of water through the turbine; adjusting the adjustable positioning device to adjust a position of the machine tool with respect to the collector ring; and performing the machining operation on the collector ring at the specified rotational speed of the turbine shaft.
