PUMPED STORAGE WATER ELECTRIC POWER GENERATION FACILITIES
A pumped storage electricity generating system that includes a water feed line for introducing water into a pressure vessel. Water flow valves communicate with the pressure vessel to control introduction of water into the pressure vessel. A push plate is mounted for movement in the pressure vessel. A single motor, for example, hydraulic radial piston motors, may be adapted for reciprocating the push plate linearly between a first direction wherein water is drawn into the pressure vessel through the water flow valves and a second direction wherein water is conveyed downstream through the water discharge line under pressure to the hydroelectric turbine. Other embodiments are double-acting and convey water to the turbine on each stroke.
PUMP
A pump has a main body. An assembling part is formed in the main body and has an assembling chamber. A mounting part is formed in the assembling chamber and has a discharging chamber. An influent hole and an effluent hole are respectively defined through an inner surface of the discharging chamber. A storage hole is defined through the assembling chamber and communicates with the effluent hole. A mounting cover is mounted on the mounting part. A motor is mounted on the main body. An impeller is located in the discharging chamber and connected with the motor. A covering assembly is mounted on the assembling part and has a storage chamber that communicates with the storage hole. When working fluid passes through the effluent hole, some of the working fluid enters the storage chamber via the storage hole, eliminating the need to additionally process the mounting cover.
NACELLE FOR WIND TURBINE AND METHOD FOR TRANSFERRING COMPONENTS
Aspects of the present invention relate to a nacelle (14) for a wind turbine generator (10), and a method for transferring components into and out of a wind turbine generator (10). The nacelle (14) comprises a housing (26) surrounding an internal volume (24) of the nacelle (14). The housing (26) has a maintenance opening (50). The nacelle comprises a carriage (54) configured to hold a component (48), the carriage (54) being movable between a first position and a second position to transfer the component (48) through the maintenance opening (50). When the carriage (54) is in the first position, the component (48) is held within the internal volume (24). When the carriage (54) is in the second position, the component (48) is held such that at least a portion of the component (48) is outside the housing (26).
Nacelle having liquid retaining properties
Provided is a nacelle for a wind driven power plant, the nacelle including a nacelle bottom cover, wherein the nacelle bottom cover includes two or more segments, each of the segments being configured to contain a respective predefined maximum volume of a liquid in a receptacle in a case of leakage, and wherein the respective receptacles are configured to collectively contain a total volume that corresponds to a total amount of liquids in the wind driven power plant, in particular a total amount of lubricating oils and/or cooling liquids in the wind driven power plant. Also provided is a wind driven power plant including the nacelle and a wind park including a plurality of the wind driven power plants.
NACELLE FOR A WIND TURBINE, THE NACELLE COMPRISING SIDE UNITS
A nacelle for a wind turbine and a method for erecting a wind turbine are disclosed. The nacelle comprises a main unit arranged to be connected to a wind turbine tower, via a yawing arrangement, and at least one side unit mounted along a side of the main unit in such a manner that direct access is allowed between the main unit and the side unit(s), each side unit accommodating at least one wind turbine component, and at least one side unit being capable of carrying the wind turbine component(s) accommodated therein. The main unit and at least one of the side unit(s) are distributed side by side along a substantially horizontal direction which is substantially transverse to a rotational axis of a rotor of the wind turbine. A sufficient interior space of the nacelle is obtained while allowing the nacelle to be transported due to the modular construction. The weight of the wind turbine components is arranged close to the tower due to the transversal arrangement of the side unit(s) relative to the main unit.
Wind turbine having a plurality of airfoil rings and counter rotating generators
A wind turbine can include a first rotating ring and a second rotating ring. A first plurality of airfoils is pivotally secured between an interior rim and an exterior rim of the first rotating ring and disposed at a first angle of attack. A second plurality of airfoils is pivotally secured between an interior rim and an exterior rim of the second rotating ring and disposed at a second angle of attack. A generator is mounted between the first rotating ring and the second rotating ring and generates electricity in response to the first plurality of airfoils capturing the wind with the first angle of attack such that the first rotating ring rotates in a first direction and the second plurality of airfoils captures the wind with the second angle of attack such that the second rotating rings rotate in an opposite direction from the first rotating ring.
Wind turbine for the production of electric power with multiple-blade vanes and horizontal shaft supperted at the ends
Wind turbine system improved by the inventor for the production of electrical power, which comprises a shaft supported at two ends on two towers made of concrete or steel or another material, the lower half of which wind turbine is closed with a frustopyramidal shape in order that the wind does not pass and generate a “hill” effect and simply applies thrust to the upper part of the system. The system comprises sails composed of vanes in the form of a blade (double-arc) that rotate about themselves in order to utilize 100% of the different wind speeds and a possible stopping of the wind turbine system. The blades of the vanes of the wind turbine may be braced with respect to one another in order, where necessary, that same move at the same time. On account of the level of safety and stability it affords, the wind turbine allows a number of wind turbines to be placed in the direction of the wind.
Method of Identifying a Wind Distribution Pattern Over the Rotor Plane and a Wind Turbine Thereof
The invention relates to a method of identifying a wind distribution pattern over a rotor plane and a wind turbine thereof. At least one operating parameter of the wind turbine and a rotational position of the rotor are measured over a time period. A first wind turbine blade passing signal is extracted from the measured operating parameter and a second wind turbine blade passing signal is generated from the rotational position. The first and second wind turbine blade passing signals are then analysed to determine the characteristics of the actual wind turbine blade passing signal in the rotor plane. These characteristics are afterwards compared to the characteristics of a plurality of known wind distribution patterns, and a unique relationship between the characteristics of the wind turbine blade passing signal and the wind distribution pattern is used to identify a distinctive wind distribution pattern.
