A system is provided comprising a tunnel for immersion in a moving mass. Energy from the mass passing through said tunnel converts to rotational force. An energy collector is provided having open and collapsed states, the open state resisting the mass. Bidirectional converter systems convert said rotational force to constant singular direction. A mechanical converter comprises an input shaft turned bidirectionally by said rotational force and two gears driven by the input shaft in opposite rotational directions, the gears separately attached to idler gears causing output gears attached to the idler gears to engage an output shaft in a same rotational direction. A hydraulic converter comprises a hydraulic pump turned bidirectionally by said rotational force. Check valves positioned between the pump and a hydraulic motor enable control of pressure and volume in one direction at the pump.

A bearing arrangement for a wind turbine includes a bed frame, a shaft configured for connecting a rotor with a generator of the wind turbine, a front bearing and a rear bearing both supporting the shaft rotatably around a shaft axis, a front bearing housing supporting the front bearing, the front bearing housing including one or more feet connected to the bed frame, a rear bearing housing supporting the rear bearing, the rear bearing housing including one or more feet connected to the bed frame, and a stiffening element connecting one of the feet of the front bearing housing and one of the feet of the rear bearing housing. Having the stiffening element allows a reinforcement of the connection between the front bearing housing, the rear bearing housing and the bed frame. The stiffening element reduces the deformation of the bearing housings and the bed frame.

Centrifugal compressor

A centrifugal compressor includes a volute base block, a volute cover plate, an impeller, a diffuser-adjusting assembly, a radial constraint assembly, an axial constraint assembly and a driving assembly. A diffuser and a connected volute are formed between the cover plate and the base block. The impeller discharges gas to the centrifugal compressor through the diffuser and the volute. The diffuser adjustment assembly includes a driving ring, a driving rod, a pin and a diffuser ring. The radial constraint assembly is disposed on an inner circumference surface of the driving ring. The axial constraint assembly on an outer circumference surface of the driving ring is located between the top and bottom portions. The drive assembly is to rotate the driving ring. When the driving ring rotates, the pin slides along the pin track, and the driving rod displaces the diffuser ring to adjust a flow-path width of the diffuser.

Disclosed is a wind turbine with a nacelle and a rotor, the rotor including a number of blades and a hub, the nacelle and the hub being connected with each other in an interface region, the wind turbine further including a transport system for transporting hydraulic and/or pneumatic fluid from the nacelle into the hub. The transport system includes a rotary unit as a connection through which the fluid passes and a part of which rotates in operation together with the hub which rotary unit is positioned in the hub at a position distanced from the interface region facing away from the nacelle, the transport system further including a pipe system leading from the interface region into the hub to the rotary unit and being fixed in its position. The disclosure also concerns a method of construction of such wind turbine.
