Systems and methods for monitoring shuffled playing cards. A shuffled card ID is associated with the one or more shuffled decks of playing cards. Each card delivered by a card feeder from the one or more shuffled decks of playing cards is inspected. It is determined whether there is a defect in the arrangement of the one or more shuffled decks of playing cards. Upon a condition that a shuffled deck of playing cards is determined to be defective, at least one of discarding the defective shuffled deck of playing cards or preventing a recurrence of a defect found within the defective shuffled deck of playing cards.

The card handling device may have a card receiving area, a card infeed mechanism for delivering cards from the receiving area to a receiver for forming the card sets or hands, and an ejector for ejecting cards to a card dispensing area. The receiving area may have a card engaging movable sidewall. The card receiver may be movable and have vertically spaced dividers which define card receiving pockets. A top of the card dispensing area is located above a top of the card receiving area.

A card handling device is configured to arrange one or more cards into sets or hands. The card handling device may have a card receiving area, a card infeed mechanism for delivering cards from the receiving area to a receiver for forming the card sets or hands, and an ejector for ejecting cards to a card dispensing area. A top of the card dispensing area is located above a top of the card receiving area.

An automated card dealer assembly includes a gaming table that has a plurality of chairs is positioned around the gaming table for having a player sit on the chairs. Each of the chairs is assigned a respective one of a plurality of gaming spots at the gaming table. A card dealing unit is positioned on the gaming table and the card dealing unit contains at least one deck of playing cards. The card dealing unit has a dealing chute that is movably integrated into the card dealing unit. The card dealing unit is in communication with each of the weight sensors and the card dealing unit deals a predetermined number of playing cards outwardly from the dealing chute. Additionally, the dealing chute is actuated to deal the predetermined number of playing cards toward each chair to deal playing cards to each player.

An automated card dealer assembly includes a gaming table that has a plurality of chairs is positioned around the gaming table for having a player sit on the chairs. Each of the chairs is assigned a respective one of a plurality of gaming spots at the gaming table. A card dealing unit is positioned on the gaming table and the card dealing unit contains at least one deck of playing cards. The card dealing unit has a dealing chute that is movably integrated into the card dealing unit. The card dealing unit is in communication with each of the weight sensors and the card dealing unit deals a predetermined number of playing cards outwardly from the dealing chute. Additionally, the dealing chute is actuated to deal the predetermined number of playing cards toward each chair to deal playing cards to each player.

A device for production of sets of playing cards is provided, and includes: a printing means for printing randomly ordered playing cards; an identification means to identify one or more defective playing cards, having a feedback unit to instruct the printing means to reprint the defective playing cards; and an evacuation means to evacuate the one or more defective playing cards.

The UV sources are mounted on, in or proximate to a variety of gaming devices or equipment such as EGMs, mechanical gaming machines, chip trays, chippers, dice holders, automatic card shufflers, bill validators, currency counting devices, currency dispensing devices, printers, magnetic card readers, playing card and currency sterilization, disinfection or decontamination storage mechanisms, ATMs, redemption machines, promotional kiosks, etc., or similar devices used in other industries.
