A fixture assembly includes a support stand, a support platform and a platform adaptor. The support platform is rotatably coupled to the support stand and rotatable about an axis. The support platform extends circumferentially about a centerline angularly offset from the axis. The support platform extends longitudinally along the centerline to a platform top surface. The platform adaptor is disposed on the platform top surface and attached to the support platform. The platform adaptor includes a case receptacle formed by an adaptor top surface and an adaptor shoulder surface. The platform adaptor extends longitudinally along the centerline to the adaptor top surface where the adaptor top surface is configured to longitudinally engage and support the case. The platform adaptor extends radially relative to the centerline to the adaptor shoulder surface where the adaptor shoulder surface is configured to radially engage and position the case on the adaptor top surface.

The casing includes at least one support leg configured to support the casing on a base plate of a support structure member, and a support leg of the at least one support leg is supported on a support leg base provided on the base plate. The rotary machine further includes a height adjustment mechanism configured to adjust height of the casing, and the height adjustment mechanism includes an inclined surface of a support leg formed on the support leg, an inclined surface of a support leg base formed on the support leg base while facing the inclined surface of the support leg, and an actuator configured to move the support leg and the support leg base relative to each other.

A foundation temperature control system for use with a rotary machine is positioned between the rotary machine and a foundation. The foundation temperature control system includes a heat shield, an insulation pack positioned below the heat shield, and an air gap at least partially defined by the heat shield and the insulation pack. The heat shield, the insulation pack, and the air gap are oriented to facilitate maintaining a temperature of the foundation supporting the rotary machine below a maximum rated operating temperature of the foundation.

Multi-directional gearbox deflection limiter for a gas turbine engine

A gas turbine engine including a fan, a core including at least one rotatable shaft, and a gearbox mechanically coupling at least one rotatable shaft of the core to the fan is provided. The gas turbine engine also includes a coupling system for mounting the gearbox within the gas turbine engine. The coupling system includes a flexible coupling connected to at least one of a fan frame or a core frame, as well as a torque frame connected to the flexible coupling and the gearbox. Moreover, a deflection limiter is provided, loosely attaching the flexible coupling to the gearbox to provide a predetermined axial range of motion, radial range of motion, and circumferential range of motion between the gearbox and the frame to which the flexible coupling is attached.
