DEVICE FOR DISTRIBUTING OIL FROM A ROLLING BEARING FOR AN AIRCRAFT TURBINE ENGINE

Devices for distributing oil from a rolling bearing for an aircraft turbine engine include a rolling bearing including two rings, respectively an inner ring and an outer ring, an oil distribution ring configured to be mounted on a turbine engine shaft, said distribution ring including a first outer cylindrical surface for mounting the inner ring of the bearing, an oil recovery scoop supplying a lubricating circuit of the bearing, and an annular track of a dynamic seal. The distribution ring and the track are formed by a single-piece body, and the lubricating circuit is formed in said body and extends into the distribution ring and the track.

COOLING FOR SURFACE IGNITORS IN TORCH IGNITION DEVICES
20230061595 · 2023-03-02 · ·

A torch ignitor system includes a torch wall defining a combustion chamber therein with a flame outlet passing out of the torch wall downstream of the combustion chamber. A fuel nozzle is mounted to the torch wall to issue fuel into the combustion chamber. An ignitor is mounted to the torch wall, extending into the combustion chamber to ignite fuel issued from the fuel nozzle. A cooling passage is in thermal communication with the ignitor for cooling the ignitor with fluid passing through the cooling passage.

ROTOR HAVING A PLURALITY OF SPIRAL PATHWAYS TO PASS LIQUID OR GAS THERETHROUGH TO INCREASE POWER THEREOF
20220325627 · 2022-10-13 ·

A rotor having spiral pathways to enable liquid or gas to flow from a center to an exterior thereof. The spiral pathways increases power generated (input force) as liquid/gas travels therethrough. The spiral pathway rotor includes an inner disk and an outer disk. Inner disk includes a central opening for receiving the liquid/gas and is connected to a plurality of pathways that extend toward an outer edge in a spiral manner. Nozzles may be utilized to expel the liquid/gas. Outer disk includes an open interior having a plurality of teeth formed on an interior surface. The teeth are configured to receive the liquid/gas expelled from inner disk which causes the rotor to rotate and thus increases the input force thereof. The input force is amplified to an output force on a shaft connected thereto.

Self-pumping fuel injector for a gas turbine engine and method of operation

A self-pumping fuel injector includes a pump and a motor for, in-part, delivering fuel to a combustor at higher fuel pressures during start-up and ramping-up conditions. Each pump may include a stationary flow interuptor that intermittently and variably supplies fuel to a rotating spindle that, in-turn, expels the fuel into a nozzle of the injector for improve fuel spray distributions.

Turbine engine inducer assembly

An apparatus and method for assembling an inducer assembly for inducing a rotation on an airflow passing within a turbine engine. The inducer assembly can provide a volume of fluid from a compressor section to a turbine section of the engine. The inducer assembly can include the combination of separate segments to form an annular inducer.

Flow mixer duct for a bleed system
11619456 · 2023-04-04 · ·

A duct for a bleed system of an aircraft, wherein the duct extends from an inlet section to an outlet section along a longitudinal axis, and wherein the duct comprises a continuous piece arranged on and protruding from the internal wall of the duct. The duct is subject to temperature gradients in order to reduce the temperature of the warmest airflow closer to the inner wall rather than rapidly mix the airflow.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR ROTATING AIR SEAL WITH INTEGRAL FLEXIBLE HEAT SHIELD

An apparatus and method of reducing a flow of fluid and heat between a first space and a second space in a rotatable machine and an integral seal and heat shield device are provided. The device includes an annular flange configured to couple to the rotating member of the rotatable machine and a multi-walled seal shield member extending axially from the flange. The multi-walled seal shield member is formed integrally with the flange. The seal shield member includes a first wall including a plurality of surface features, a second wall spaced radially inwardly with respect to the first wall, and a cavity formed between the first and second walls. The integral seal and heat shield device also includes a cap end integrally formed and configured to seal the first and second walls. Each of the flange, the seal shield member, and the cap end are formed of a sintered metal.

ABRASIVE FLOW MACHINING METHOD AND ARTICLE

A method for abrasive flow machining includes moving an abrasive media through a high-aspect passage of a workpiece. Local pressure of the abrasive media is increased at target abrasion surfaces of the high-aspect passage using a passage geometry that is configured to direct flow of the abrasive media into the target abrasion surfaces such that the target abrasion surfaces are preferentially polished by the abrasive media over other, non-targeted surfaces of the high-aspect passage at which the flow of the abrasive media is not directed into.
