Turbine with adjusting ring

The invention relates to a turbine comprising a turbine housing defining a volute having a substantially annular outlet opening, a turbine wheel, and an adjusting ring, rotatable about the turbine axis, which is arranged in the turbine housing radially between the volute and the turbine wheel, wherein the adjusting ring comprises a flow channel between a radially outer first peripheral opening and a radially inner second peripheral opening, and wherein the outlet opening is fluidically coupled to the turbine wheel by the flow channel. The outlet opening and the first peripheral opening have a path, variable in the axial direction, so that during a rotation of the adjusting ring, the outlet opening and the first peripheral opening are adjusted relative to each other in such a way that an overflow cross section between the outlet opening and the first peripheral opening is variably changeable.

Retention device for a cooling tube for a turbomachine casing

A retention device for at least one cooling tube of a cooling system of a turbomachine casing, the casing extending around an axial direction of the turbomachine, the retention device includes a fixing plate suited to being made integral with the casing and a retention element for the cooling tube. The retention device includes an adjustment system configured to adjust the relative position of the retention element with respect to the fixing plate and to absorb a relative movement between the retention element and the fixing plate.

OUTLET FOR EJECTING A HOT GAS THROUGH AN AIRCRAFT ENGINE WALL

A duct for evacuating hot air from an aircraft engine is extended by a movable stack that can project from the wall such that the hot air is ejected a distance from the wall without risk of damaging the wall. The stack can, however, be retracted by a control device under circumstances of moderate engine speed, with the advantage that the drag of the wall, generally an outer nacelle, is then reduced.

Aspects of the disclosure regard an exhaust nozzle for a gas turbine engine that includes an outer nozzle wall, a flow channel which is limited radially outwards by the nozzle wall, a centerbody arranged in the flow channel, and at least two struts connecting the centerbody to the nozzle wall. One of the struts is connected to the nozzle wall by a first connection, the first connection constraining movement of the strut relative to the nozzle wall in the radial direction and in the circumferential direction. The at least one other strut is connected to the nozzle wall by a second connection, the second connection constraining movement of the strut relative to the nozzle wall in the circumferential direction but allowing movement of the strut relative to the nozzle wall in the radial direction.

EXHAUST NOZZLE OF A GAS TURBINE ENGINE

An exhaust nozzle of a gas turbine engine includes an outer nozzle wall, a centerbody arranged in a flow channel, and two struts connecting the centerbody to the wall. A first strut is connected to the wall by a first connection allowing movement of the strut relative to the nozzle wall in the axial direction. Another strut is connected to the wall by a second connection allowing movement of the strut relative to the wall in the radial and axial directions. The second connection is formed by a sliding element and a receiving slot, wherein the sliding element includes an interaction zone interacting with an actuator for axial movement. The interaction zone has a radial length such that the interaction between the actuator and the interaction zone is maintained when the sliding element is moved in the radial direction by radial thermal expansion of the strut and/or the centerbody.

Gearbox mounting link

A link for mounting a first component to a second component according to an example of the present disclosure includes a first piece connectable to the first component, a second piece connectable to the second component, the second piece includes a main body portion receivable in an opening in the first piece. A primary fastener is configured to retain the main body portion of the second piece in the opening. A secondary fastener is configured to retain the main body portion of the second piece in the opening, the secondary fastener capable of withstanding higher loads than the primary fastener. A gas turbine engine assembly and a method of constraining a gearbox with respect to an engine are also disclosed.

Non-contact seal assembly for rotational equipment

Assemblies are provided for rotational equipment. One of these assemblies includes a first bladed rotor assembly, a second bladed rotor assembly, a stator vane assembly, a stator structure and a seal assembly. The second bladed rotor assembly includes a rotor disk structure. The stator vane assembly is axially between the first and the second bladed rotor assemblies. The stator structure is mated with and radially within the stator vane assembly. The seal assembly is configured for sealing a gap between the stator structure and the rotor disk structure, wherein the seal assembly includes a non-contact seal.

TELESCOPIC FAN CAGE AND APPARATUS CASE THEREWITH
