ROTOR ASSEMBLY FOR TURBOMACHINE HAVING ELECTRIC MOTOR WITH SOLITARY SOLID CORE PERMANENT MAGNET
A rotor assembly for a turbomachine having a permanent magnet electric motor that defines an axis of rotation includes a jacket member. The rotor assembly also includes a magnet member that is received within the jacket member. The magnet member has a first longitudinal end and a second longitudinal end that are separated along the axis of rotation. The rotor assembly also includes a first shaft structure that is attached to the first longitudinal end and a second shaft structure that is attached to the second longitudinal end. The magnet member is solitary and unitary and has a solid core
Stator vane shroud having an offset
An example stator vane assembly of a turbomachine includes a shroud having a leading edge, a trailing edge, and at least one circumferential edge. The leading edge is circumferentially offset relative to the trailing edge when installed within the turbomachine.
ROTOR ASSEMBLY, ASSOCIATED METHOD OF ASSEMBLY, AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT THEREFOR
A computer program product contains computer-readable instructions, which, when operated on by a computer, performs the following method. A combination is determined of relative circumferential positions of the individual rotor components associated to a bow shape configuration of the centers of mass along the axially-extending sequence based on geometrical reference values concerning individual rotor components each having a center of mass and configured to be assembled to one another in an axial sequence to form a rotor assembly, the geometrical reference values being stored in a computer readable memory accessible to the computer.
Gas turbine
The aircraft-engine gas turbine includes an outer sealing ring for sealing an array of rotor blades that can be attached to a housing by a clamping mechanism (80) in a friction fit, and a plurality of ring segments (20.sub.i, 20.sub.i+1), wherein a free axial path length (a.sub.f) of a sealing ring segment counter to the direction of through-flow is at least as large as an axial engagement (a.sub.1) of a rotation locking member (10) of the outer sealing ring (a.sub.f≧a.sub.1), which is free of form fit counter to the direction of through-flow, and/or an axial overhang (a.sub.2) of a radial mounting rail (23) of the outer sealing ring (a.sub.f≧a.sub.2), and/or an axial offset (a.sub.3, a.sub.4) of a sealing fin (31, 41); and/or a quotient of a specific clearance sum of the outer sealing ring attached to the housing in a friction fit.
GAS TURBINE ENGINE INCLUDING A ROTATING BLADE ASSEMBLY
A rotating blade assembly for a turbine engine having a drive shaft, the rotating blade assembly comprising a disc, at least one blade assembly, and a retainer. The disc being operably coupled to the drive shaft and including a seat having at least a portion of a first through hole. The at least one blade assembly having an upper platform, a lower platform, a dovetail extending from the lower platform, and a blade extending between the upper platform and the lower platform. The retainer assembly securing the disc to the at least one blade assembly and comprising a hollow tubular element, a pin, and a fastener.
Rotary machine including a machine rotor with a composite impeller portion and a metal shaft portion
A rotary machine includes a machine stator and a machine rotor rotatable relative to the machine stator and having a metal shaft portion, a composite impeller portion, and at least a first metal ring portion securing the composite impeller portion to the metal shaft portion, the metal ring portion having a first interface with the composite impeller portion and a second interface with the metal shaft portion.
Exhaust gas turbocharger
An exhaust gas turbocharger for an internal combustion engine may include a rotor with a turbine wheel of a turbine, a compressor wheel of a compressor and a shaft. The shaft may be connected to the turbine wheel and to the compressor wheel in a rotationally fixed manner. A bearing cartridge may be included for mounting the rotor in a housing. The bearing cartridge may have an inner sleeve arranged on the shaft axially between the turbine wheel and the compressor wheel with respect to an axis of rotation and an outer sleeve arranged coaxial thereto. The outer sleeve may be rotatably mounted on the inner sleeve via at least one rolling body. At least two damping rings may be included which are coaxially arranged on the outer sleeve axially spaced from one another and supported on a respective bearing section of the housing.
PUMP MOTOR WITH A FIXED BEARING
A pump motor having a permanent magnet rotor, a containment shell, a wound stator, a motor housing, a pump head, a shaft, which is secured in the containment shell on the one hand and in the pump head on the other hand, and a fixed bearing, which is pressed or injected into the permanent magnet rotor and rotatably mounts it on the shaft. The pump motor provides a reliable and economically producible bearing of the permanent magnet rotor on the shaft in a generic pump motor, in which the bearing abutting uniformly against the shaft over the entire bearing length and during a complete rotation can be achieved, small angle errors can be compensated, and noises can be reduced.
Vane arc segment platform flange with cap
A vane arc segment includes an airfoil piece that has a first platform, a second platform, and an airfoil section between the first platform and the second platform. At least the first platform is formed of a fiber-reinforced composite (FRC) and defines a radial flange. A cap is fitted on the radial flange.
