TURBINE STATOR BLADE AND STEAM TURBINE

A turbine stator blade (21) includes a pressure side (21P) extending in a radial direction intersecting a flowing direction of steam and facing upstream in the flowing direction. A slit (5) capturing droplets generated by liquefaction of the steam is formed on a downstream side of the pressure side (21P). A fine uneven region (6), which guides the droplets attached to the pressure side (21P) in the radial direction such that the droplets are moved toward the slit (5) and from upstream toward downstream, is formed in a further upstream position than the slit (5). The fine uneven region (6) has a flow resistance to the droplets gradually increasing from inward to outward in the radial direction.

GAS TURBINE ENGINE ARTICLE WITH SERPENTINE GROOVE FOR COATING INTERLOCK

A gas turbine engine article includes a substrate that has a pre-bond surface that includes a serpentine groove. A coating is disposed on the pre-bond surface and mechanically interlocks with the serpentine groove.

Misting fan

A misting fan system includes a fan and a mister positioned above the fan. The fan includes a motor and a plurality of fan blades operably coupled thereto. Each of the fan blades comprises a base member and a paddle member mated to the base member, and each paddle member comprises an upper surface and a lower surface. A hydrophobic coating may be applied to at least one of the upper surface and the lower surface of the paddle member of at least one of the plurality of fan blades.

Acoustic liner and method of forming an acoustic liner

An acoustic liner includes a first face sheet, a second face sheet spaced from the first face sheet, and a plurality of sidewalls extending between the first face sheet and the second face sheet. The plurality of sidewalls defines a plurality of cells. Each cell of the plurality of cells defines a cavity between the first face sheet and the second face sheet. A bulk absorber is disposed within at least one cell of the plurality of cells. The bulk absorber further defines the cavity of the at least one cell of the plurality of cells. The first face sheet defines a plurality of apertures extending through a thickness of the first face sheet. Each aperture of the plurality of apertures is aligned with a respective cell of the plurality of cells.

Water vapor distillation apparatus, method and system

A fluid vapor distillation apparatus. The apparatus includes a source fluid input, and an evaporator condenser apparatus. The evaporator condenser apparatus includes a substantially cylindrical housing and a plurality of tubes in the housing. The source fluid input is fluidly connected to the evaporator condenser and the evaporator condenser transforms source fluid into steam and transforms compressed steam into product fluid. Also included in the fluid vapor distillation apparatus is a heat exchanger fluidly connected to the source fluid input and a product fluid output. The heat exchanger includes an outer tube and at least one inner tube. Also included in the fluid vapor distillation apparatus is a regenerative blower fluidly connected to the evaporator condenser. The regenerative blower compresses steam, and the compressed steam flows to the evaporative condenser where compressed steam is transformed into product fluid.

Air/oil mixture separation systems for gas turbine engines

Oil lubrication systems for use on gas turbine engines are described. The systems include a conduit and an air/oil separator connected to and arranged along the conduit. The air/oil separator comprises includes a housing and a semi-permeable divider within the housing, the semi-permeable divider being permeable to air but not oil. The semi-permeable divider separates a first flow path of an air/oil mixture and a second flow path of low pressure such that air from the air/oil mixture passes through the semi-permeable divider and is removed from the air/oil mixture, and wherein an air-to-oil ratio is less at the second end of the first flow path as compared to the air-to-oil ratio at the first end of the first flow path.
