20240011599 · 2024-01-11 ·

A removable shutter assembly includes a pair of brackets that is each attachable to an exterior wall of a building. Each of the brackets is positionable adjacent to a window in the exterior wall. Each of the brackets has a first panel that is perpendicularly oriented with a second panel. A shutter is positionable between the pair of brackets. The shutter has a pair of attachments movably integrated into the shutter. Each of the attachments is biased into an engaging condition to releasably engage a respective one of the brackets thereby facilitating the shutter to be quickly coupled to the pair of brackets. Each of the attachments is urgeable into a releasing condition to disengage the respective bracket thereby facilitating the shutter to be quickly removed from the pair of brackets.

Solid Surface Reinforcement System

A clamp for reinforcing a solid surface is disclosed and may be used with a top and bottom rail. The clamp has a top and bottom jaw, each with a channel constructed to receive and align the top and bottom rails respectively in a first and second direction, respectively. Each jaw has its own channel lip, shaft hole, and alignment pin hole. An alignment may be disposed of in the pin holes to inhibit to rotation of the jaws relative to each other. A shaft may be disposed of in the shaft holes, and the shaft may be at least partially threaded with a knob connected to the shaft. The clamp may have three configurations: (1) a locked configuration; (2) a sliding configuration and (3) a rail removal configuration. Multiple clamps may be used to construct a multidimensional frame to reinforce and support the solid surface.

Furniture and other items are temporarily, but securely, fixed to any of a variety of surfaces using a quick release universal mount. The quick release mount includes a top plate, at least two rotatable latch carrying axles, latches carried by each of said axles extending through openings in the top plate, and means for biasing or holding the latches carried by said axles in a latched condition. The quick release mount is coupled to a surface and the latches engage the item to be fixed to the surface. The quick release application has broad application, but is particularly useful for mounting items to docks, piers and boats.

FOOD SHIELD WITH EXTENDED SPAN
20200245788 · 2020-08-06 ·

An extended span food shield system including a central beam having at least one hooking surface. The central beam is supported at opposing ends by two support legs. The food shield system further includes at least one clip having at least one hook element and a panel bonded to the clip such that the panel and clip assembly are supported by the central beam when the hook element is engaged with the central beam at the hooking surface. The clip may include a leg extending away from the hook element. Therefore, the leg rests against the central beam when the hook element of the clip is engaged with the central beam at the hooking surface. Thus, the panel and clip assembly may be securely supported by the central beam and held in place by gravitationally applied torque alone.

Embodiments generally relate to clips for fastening members together using friction connections, as well as kits and structures comprising such clips, and methods of construction involving such clips. Some embodiments relate to panel clips to assist in fastening panels to frames. For example, in some embodiments, a clip may comprise a plate defining a frame engaging portion and panel engaging portion. The clip may be fastened to the panel with a bolt, and the frame engaging portion urged against a flange of a frame element to form a friction connection. One or more projecting portions may extend away from the plate to engage the frame element and restrict rotation of the clip relative to the frame once installed.
