Furniture with flexible dovetail dowel and slot joint
An improved joint is provided for modular furniture. The joint includes a dowel and slot. The dowel is held in the slot tightly to provide stiffness to the joint. The dowel may include a flanged head which is bent elastically by the slot when the dowel is fully inserted into the slot. The head of the dowel may be maintained in a bent configuration when the joint is in assembled configuration.
Locking dowel assembly
A locking dowel assembly for joining wooden objects without glue or screws includes a pair of cups. Each of the cups is inserted into a well in a respective pair of objects intended for joining together. A pair of inserts is provided and each of the inserts is positioned against each other such that the pair of inserts forms a cylinder. The cylinder is inserted into each of the cups for joining the objects together. A retainer is positioned between each of the inserts and the retainer has a plurality of teeth thereon. The teeth engage the cups when the insert is inserted into each of the cups thereby retaining the inserts in the cups.
TOOL-LESS FASTENING SYSTEM
A tool-less fastening system includes an interface assembly including an interface body having a first longitudinal end, a second longitudinal end, and a contact surface disposed between the first longitudinal surface and the second longitudinal surface, a fastening element coupled to the interface body, and a stop block extending from the interface body at the second longitudinal end, the stop block including an inclined surface. The tool-less fastening system also includes a receiver shaped to receive the interface body. The receiver has a receiver body defining a channel and at least one receiver block extending from the receiver body into the channel, wherein the at least one receiver block includes a receiving surface for receiving the contact surface of the interface body. In some embodiments, the tool-less fastening system can be implemented with shippable furniture, such as office chairs and tables.
SET OF PANELS WITH A MECHANICAL LOCKING DEVICE
A set including a first panel, a second panel and a mechanical locking device for locking the first panel to the second panel. The first edge surface is facing the second panel surface in a locked position of the first and the second panel, the mechanical locking device includes a rod-shaped element at the first edge surface and an insertion groove at the second panel surface, the rod-shaped element is configured to be inserted into the insertion groove. A first locking groove at the first edge surface and a second locking groove at the second panel surface and a locking part, where the locking part is configured to be inserted into the first locking groove and the second locking groove. The locking part is configured to apply a locking force between the first and the second panel in an oblique direction in relation to the second panel surface.
MECHANICAL LOCKING SYSTEM FOR PANELS
A set of panels including a first panel with a first main plane and a second panel with a second main plane is described. The first panel and the second panel are provided with a mechanical locking device for locking of a first edge of the first panel to a second edge of the second panel at a junction plane, wherein the first main plane is essentially perpendicular to the second main plane and the junction plane is extending at an angle to the first main plane and the second main plane between the first main plane and the second main plane.
SET OF PANELS WITH A MECHANICAL LOCKING DEVICE
A set including a first panel, a second panel and a mechanical locking device for locking the first panel to the second panel, wherein the first panel includes a first main plane, and a first edge surface, the second panel includes a second edge surface, the first edge surface is facing the second edge surface at a junction plane in a locked position of the first and the second panel, the mechanical locking device includes at least one rod-shaped element at the first edge surface, at least one insertion groove at the second edge surface, the rod-shaped element is configured to be inserted into the insertion groove, the mechanical locking device further including at least one locking groove at the first or second edge surface and at least one locking part, the locking part is configured to be inserted into the locking groove and lock against the locking surface.
RAIL SYSTEM FOR VEHICLE SHELVING AND CANOPIES
A vehicle rail system has a frame mountable to a vehicle, the frame having a plurality of support legs, the support legs interconnected via support beams. One or more fixed rails are mountable to the support frame, each fixed rail comprising a plurality of bearings thereon and configured to receive a sliding rail, the sliding rail having a plurality of grooves for receiving the bearings of the fixed rail so as to be slidable thereon. The bearings are located along regular intervals of the fixed rails on each non-mounted side. The sliding rail is then able to slide along the bearings of the fixed rail, extending to the exterior of the frame mounted in the vehicle.
CABINET ASSEMBLY
A kit is provided that, when assembled, forms a unit of furniture. The kit includes side panels that can reversibly slide into an opening formed in the sides of the front and side panels. The kit may include multiple locking pins to restrict movement of the top and side panels. The kit may include positioning wedges and/or locking wedges to restrict relative movement of the panels and thus improve the stability of the unit. Also provided are methods of assembling the unit of furniture.

FURNITURE BRACKET ASSEMBLY
A bracket assembly includes a bracket, such as a flat plate bracket, including a first surface, a second surface opposite the first surface, and a number of apertures through the bracket extending from the first surface to the second surface. The first surface engages at least one table top board. The bracket assembly also includes a number of studs protruding from the second surface of the bracket, the studs to selectively attach the bracket to a second bracket structure, such as a leg support system. The bracket assembly can be used in furniture assemblies to secure table tops, shelves, or other structures to a support structure.
