Wallboard anchor
An anchor for wallboard installation includes an anchor body elongated along an axis, the anchor body including a driving end, a wall boring end and an internal bore running from the driving end to an internal end short of a distal tip of the wall boring end. The anchor body includes a first frusto-conical body portion, a second frusto-conical body portion running from the first frusto-conical body portion to an annular groove and an end body portion running from the annular groove toward the distal tip.
Anchor assembly with toggle
An anchor assembly for wall installation includes a toggle body that is elongated along an axis, and a strap connected to and extending from the toggle body, wherein the strap includes a main segment that extends in a first direction away from an axis of the toggle body when the strap and toggle body are in an unstressed state, and the main segment is bendable down toward the toggle body such that the main segment extends in a second direction, where the second direction runs more closely to parallel with the axis than does the first direction. A locking sleeve mounted for movement along the strap toward the toggle body. The strap is substantially L-shaped and includes a small segment extending laterally relative to the main segment, wherein the small segment is seated within a recess on the toggle body.
System and method for installing a manifold plug
The present disclosure relates to an insert and system of installing the same. The insert includes a tapered core and a cylinder. The core releasably secures to an installation device which includes a depth stop or a depth control to control the installation depth of the insert. The insert may be provided in a tray that allows for easier handling of the inserts and installation thereof in installation holes, for example in a hydraulic manifold. In some cases, the core includes a threaded hole to releasably secure the insert to the installation device, thus allowing the installation device to pull the core into the cylinder. The core and cylinder may be made of metallic materials such as steels, steel alloys and others. In some cases the insert can withstand blow out pressures of 40,000 psi or higher.
Adhesive Anchor
A method, process and machine to anchor objects to a surface using an encapsulated compound such as adhesive, expanding glue, hardening agent or other reactive and/or bonding substance intended for single use in a single anchor installation.
Fixing device
This invention relates to a fixing device for holding a fastener in a hole in a structure comprising an actuating part configured to engage with said fastener in use and a plurality of arms extending from and hingedly connected to the actuating part, each arm comprising a distal portion and an anchor portion between the distal portion and the actuating part. The arms are an insertion configuration formed or formable by moving the arms from an initial configuration in which the arms are splayed to the insertion configuration in which the arms are substantially aligned so that the distal portions define an axial passage and, in use, the fastener extends through the axial passage to engage with the actuating part, and cooperation of the fastener with the actuating part moves the actuating part in an axial direction towards the distal portions to cause a part of each of the anchor portions to move in a radially outward direction with respect to the axial passage to anchor the fixing device in said hole.
Connecting bolts and associated connection protection
A connecting bolt has a bolt shank and a bolt head which has a radially outwardly projecting bolt projection. The bolt head has a latching projection between the bolt shank and the bolt projection on the side opposite the bolt projection.
Device for attaching a piece of jewellery, particularly an earring
The earring device (1) includes: a shaft (2) suitable for passing through the orifice; a catch (3) hinged with the shaft, the catch being suitable for adopting an unlocked position, wherein the catch is aligned with the shaft and a plurality of locking positions (17) along the shaft, wherein the catch is arranged transversely relative to the shaft; elements (17, 31, 32, 33) for reversibly locking the catch in one of the locking positions. The device makes it possible to adapt the earring to the thickness of the ear wearing same. The device is also suitable for other parts of the body liable to be pierced for the purposes of visual appeal.
TOGGLE FIXING AND METHOD OF MOUNTING A TOGGLE FIXING
The invention relates to a toggle fixing for fixing an article to a thin-walled building component. The toggle fixing comprises a crosspiece and a strip. The crosspiece is elongated, with an opening for receiving a screw. The strip for holding and positioning the crosspiece is joined to the crosspiece and extends along a strip longitudinal axis (L.sub.3). According to the invention, there is arranged on the strip an elongated grip element which projects from the strip at an angle with respect to the strip longitudinal axis (L.sub.3).
WALL MOUNTED TOGGLE HOOK
A convertible anchor comprises a fixture for holding an article to a friable wall and an anchoring mechanism extending from the fixture and adapted when rotated to engagingly extend into the wall for securing the fixture thereto. The fixture is selectively separable via frangible connection elements from the anchoring mechanism for allowing the fixture to be used alone with an appropriate fastener suitable for installing the fixture to a rigid structure, such as wooden components. The frangible elements are typically provided between the fixture and a proximal end of the anchoring mechanism. The nature of the vertical support to which the anchor is to be mounted is thus first determined and then, for a friable wall, the anchor is installed thereto using the anchoring mechanism or, for a more solid support, the fixture is separated from the anchoring mechanism and installed to the solid support via an appropriate fastener.
