Hole punch and also a method for the piercing of a workpiece which is present as a foam material and/or as a sandwich material and also a method for the manufacture of the hole punch

A hole punch and a method for piercing a workpiece wherein a hole punch includes a sheet metal part and a piercing body attached thereto which carries out the piercing function and which is provided with a thread cylinder or can be provided with a thread cylinder, for example by pressing a threaded pin into a centrally arranged passage of the hole punch, wherein the hole punch can also be formed in one piece as a piercing body with a sheet metal-like flange. Furthermore a method is claimed for the manufacture of the hole punch.

Sealant articles and method of applying sealant

A method of making an assembly is disclosed. According to the method, a curable sealant is applied to a metal surface of a first article, and the curable sealant and first article are stored under conditions to maintain the curable sealant in an at least partially uncured state. The method further includes contacting the curable sealant on the first article metal surface with an electrically conductive surface of a second article, and curing the curable sealant.

Disclosed are example aspects of a method, process and machine to anchor objects to a surface using an encapsulated compound such as adhesive, expanding glue, hardening agent or other reactive and/or bonding substance intended for single use in a single anchor installation. A method of using an anchor with an encapsulated substance can comprise the steps of encapsulating a substance within an anchor and releasing the encapsulated substance through the insertion of a fastener into the anchor.

Diffusion bonded fastener assembly

A fastener assembly includes a bolt having a shaft and a head. The shaft has proximal and distal shaft ends and a shaft body, with the head at the proximal shaft end. At least a bondable portion of the shaft body is at least partially made of a bondable material. At least one collar has proximal and distal collar ends longitudinally separated by a collar body which includes a longitudinally oriented collar aperture extending through a thickness thereof between proximal and distal collar surfaces. The collar aperture defines an inner collar wall having a bondable portion which is at least partially made of a bondable material. At least the bondable portion of the shaft body is located inside the collar aperture. The bondable material of both of the inner collar wall and the shaft body is activated to bond the shaft and the collar into an integral fastener assembly structure.

Integrated locking and sealing fastener with electrical conductivity

An integrated locking and sealing fastener with electrical conductivity is revealed. The integrated locking and sealing fastener with electrical conductivity includes a fastener with a surface and a conductive anti-loosening coating. A part of the surface of the fastener is a fastening contact surface and the conductive anti-loosening coating is formed on the fastening contact surface. The conductive anti-loosening coating consists of an anti-loosening portion and a conductive portion mixed with each other. The anti-loosening portion is made from polyamide (PA) resin, acrylic (PMMA) resin, polyethylene, epoxy resin, silicone, rubber, or the combinations. The conductive portion is made from materials including carbon black, metal powders, a silver wire, graphite, or the combinations. The coating on the fastener not only prevents loosening and leakage but also provides electrical conductivity.
