A threaded fastener for installation in an aperture in a workpiece, the fastener having a rear portion defining an internally threaded aperture and a front portion arranged to engage the rear portion and having a front aperture which is aligned with the threaded aperture when the two portions are fully engaged, both portions having bearing surfaces for bearing on the rear and front of a workpiece respectively and the engagement between the portions being arranged to accurately control the distance between the front and rear bearing faces.

An anaerobically curable composition comprising an anaerobically curable component that is a combination of a solid resin component and a solid anaerobically curable monomer. A curing component for curing the anaerobically curable component is included. The composition is solid and has a melting point in the range from 30? C. to 100? C. The composition is dry to touch and can be used to form articles of manufacture such as a tape, an elongate filament, a gasket, a patch.

A hole punch and a method for piercing a workpiece wherein a hole punch includes a sheet metal part and a piercing body attached thereto which carries out the piercing function and which is provided with a thread cylinder or can be provided with a thread cylinder, for example by pressing a threaded pin into a centrally arranged passage of the hole punch, wherein the hole punch can also be formed in one piece as a piercing body with a sheet metal-like flange. Furthermore a method is claimed for the manufacture of the hole punch.

A device for injecting a fluid into a mechanical system that may undergo heating, comprising at least one body containing a thermally triggered charge generating combustion gas, ignition of the charge being able to be triggered under the action of an ignition command and/or under the effect of a heat contribution, from a heating area of the body toward the charge, a reservoir containing the fluid, means for fastening the device to the mechanical system, the fastening means adapted to put the reservoir in fluid communication with the mechanical system, and means for delivering pressurized fluid outside the reservoir through the action, directly or through intermediate means, of the combustion gases. Within the device, the fastening means comprise at least one injection sleeve provided with an outer thread coated with an anti-loosening adhesive film. The invention also relates to a mechanical system equipped with at least one such device.

A method for producing a resin member including a conductive paste layer and a feed portion that can suitably fix an insert member in place relative to a mold without leaving a part having no relationship with the structural members of the final product within the insert member, and a method for connecting the resin member produced with such a method to an external feed member. The method includes storing an insert member including an exterior resin film with a conductive paste layer, and a first magnetic attractor to become a feed portion into a cavity of a mold including a second magnetic attractor; positioning and fixing the insert member in the cavity using magnetic attractive force of the first and the second magnetic attractors; and injecting resin into the cavity to form a resin panel, thereby integrating the insert member with the resin panel to produce a resin member.

A glued rod insert (GRI) for use in mass timber construction including a generally cylindrical collar having: an internal concentric threaded bore for receiving a threaded rod, circumferential ridges or ribs on the exterior for securely seating within a hole drilled in wood, and a relief channel for excess glue. A method using the glued rod insert (GRI) to install threaded rods in wood components in mass timber construction.

A fastener sealing material for application to miniature and sub-miniature fasteners is formulated from a liquid applied acrylate material. The liquid applied acrylate material is cured using an ultraviolet or LED light source, without the use of heat. When applied to a fastener, the fastener sealing material can form a locking material for the fastener. A method of making a fastener with a sealing material thereon is also disclosed.

A fastener joinable to a workpiece, the fastener comprising: a shaft-shaped anchor section that extends along an anchor axis (Xa) between a first end portion and a second end portion; a flange section formed on and extending radially from the first end portion of the anchor section; and an application section located on the flange section. A pre-applied joining material is located on the application section and is at least partially in a solid state. The joining material includes a first adhesive material and a second different adhesive material, and the first adhesive material completely covers the second adhesive material.

The bolts of this invention have been provided with the various means for preventing torque transmission to the bolt head when the nut is being tightened, thereby eliminating the need to hold it by a wrench while the nut is being tightened. A nut with a helical or similar cut is provided in order to assure more even distribution of stress among its thread coils. A few different flexible bolts are provided for assembling misaligned flanges and other misaligned connections. Lastly fasteners comprising very strong and light synthetic fiber string with a simple hoist-like assembly on one end and a round stopper-head on the other have been provided, not using the thread at all, to replace the heaviest, longest and most expensive bolts and nuts used on large pipes and pressure vessels or in applications where weight reduction is important.
