Cable Tension Triggering System
20240255017 · 2024-08-01 ·

A cable tension triggering mechanism. It may be used with a variety of cables including those that have flexible members routed through bendable sheaths. The triggering mechanism includes a rotatable hub mounted to a swiveling plate. When the hub rotates around its pivot point, it increases the tension forces in cables thereby causing the cables to pull on locking mechanisms. The hub rotates when the plate is rotated and a stub extending from the plate presses against an end of the hub to cause the hub to rotate.

A slider is provided within the housing for joining the wires of the input and output cables. The slider is configured for movement within the housing and along the axis. A conduit cap fixes the conduits of the output cables to one another. The conduit cap is configured for movement within the housing. A compression spring is configured to bias the conduit cap away from the first end of the housing.

SPLAYED CABLE GUIDE FOR A MEDICAL INSTRUMENT

An apparatus includes a housing, a cable guide, a first cable, and a second cable. The housing is coupled to a shaft of a medical instrument. The cable guide is coupled to the housing, and defines a shaft opening into a passageway defined by the shaft. A first guide groove and a second guide groove are defined by the cable guide, with each of the first guide groove and the second guide groove being splayed outward from the shaft opening. The first cable is routed within the first guide groove and through the shaft opening, and is configured to slide within the first guide groove. The second cable is routed within the second guide groove and through the shaft opening, and is configured to slide within the second guide groove.

Electric motor furniture drive for adjusting parts of a piece of furniture relative to one another has a drive unit which has at least one electric motor and is in drive connection with at least one tensioning unit. Furniture drive has a base body which is preferably configured as a housing and is accommodated in or on the tensioning unit. At least two Bowden cables are operatively associated with each tensioning unit, traction cables of Bowden cables being in operative connection with associated tensioning unit. Traction cables are guided or guidable to tensioning unit(s) through at least one recess in the housing. The sheathings of the Bowden cables are fixed or fixable to the base body.

PARKING CABLE FOR VEHICLE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

A parking cable has a plurality of plastic split type liners, which reduces frictional resistance between the inner cable and a conduit among the components of the parking cable. The plurality of split type liners is press-fitted and disposed to a desired position in an inner diameter of the conduit. The plastic split type liners may serve as a guide that ensures force for smoothly moving the inner cable and also improve in-line assembly properties. A method of manufacturing the parking cable includes press fitting the plurality of split type liners between the inner cable and the conduit.

Integrated cable design for inside release and inside lock function

A cable end fitting for use in a latch is provided including a sheath for surrounding a portion of a first cable and a second cable. A portion of the sheath, including a first end is positioned within a housing. A base plate is coupled to the second end of the sheath. A first bore and a second bore extend through the base plate and the sheath. The base plate retains the cable end fitting in a position in the latch.

REMOTE HANDLE ASSEMBLY WITH MODULAR PULLEY ARRANGEMENT
20240416813 · 2024-12-19 ·

A remote handle assembly for selectively unlocking a component in a seat assembly for an automotive vehicle comprises a rear housing having a boss, a spline shaft pivotally coupled to the boss around an axis of rotation, and a pulley pivotally coupled to the boss around the axis of rotation. The spline shaft includes a cam surface and a pulley channel extending circumferentially around the axis of rotation. The spline shaft is pivotable between an unactuated position and an actuated position. The pulley includes an engagement surface and an upper pulley channel extending circumferentially around the axis of rotation. The pulley is pivotable between a second unactuated position and a second actuated position. The pulley is spaced between the spline shaft and the rear housing. The upper pulley channel in the pulley axially aligns with the pulley channel in the spline shaft. The cam surface of the spline shaft is configured to frictionally engage with the engagement surface on the pulley as the spline shaft rotates towards the actuated position.

A vehicular exterior door handle assembly includes a base, a handle movable relative to the base between recessed and deployed positions, an actuator that is operable to move the handle between the positions, and a connection mechanism that pivots relative to the base to move the handle between the positions. The actuator operates to pull and release a cable to pivot the connection mechanism to move the handle. The connection mechanism, when the actuator is operated to pull the cable, pivots in a first direction to move the handle from the recessed toward the deployed position. A biasing element of the connection mechanism biases the connection mechanism in a second direction to move the handle toward the recessed position when the actuator releases the cable. Responsive to cable tension being reduced by a threshold amount, the connection mechanism adjusts to increase tension.
