BEARING ASSEMBLY
A gas turbine engine including a rotating shaft and a bearing assembly. The bearing assembly is configured to support the rotating shaft. The bearing assembly has a first bearing and a second bearing. The first bearing is configured to support an axial load of the rotating shaft when a forward thrust of the rotating shaft is greater than ten percent. The second bearing is configured to support the axial load of the rotating shaft when a thrust of the rotating shaft is between ten percent forward thrust and ten percent aft thrust, inclusive of the end points.
TWO HYBRID BALL BEARINGS AND A COMPRESSOR BEARING ARRANGEMENT
Two hybrid ball bearings and a compressor bearing arrangement with two hybrid ball bearings for a rotatable support of a rotor of the compressor versus a stator of the compressor. The two hybrid ball bearings are arranged face-to-face or back-to-back, are configured with an optimal axial clearance depending on the inner diameter of a ring-shaped inner raceway element one of the hybrid ball bearings respectively a pitch diameter of one of the two hybrid ball bearings for a long bearing life in connection with an optimal compressor operating performance.
Rolling bearing with abnormality detector
The present invention provides an abnormality detector for a rolling bearing including an outer race, and an inner race. The abnormality detector includes a filter configured to prevent metal pieces contained in lubricating oil flowing through the bearing space between the outer and inner races from passing through the filter, while allowing the lubricating oil to pass through the filter so as to flow to the outside space of the bearing space; an electric circuit including a pair of permanent magnets mounted, as a pair of electrodes, to the filter so as to be spaced apart from each other, and lines extending from the respective electrodes to a power source; and an output detector configured to detect a change in electrical output from the electric circuit when metal pieces adhere between the pair of permanent magnets, thereby detecting the state of metal pieces contained in the lubricating oil.
Toroidal continuously variable transmission
In a continuously variable transmission including: a first transmission unit including a first input disc and a first output disc disposed coaxially and a power roller tiltably interposed between these discs; and a second transmission unit disposed coaxially with the first transmission unit, including a second input disc and a second output disc disposed coaxially and a second power roller tiltably interposed between these discs, and disposed such that a back surface of the second input disc is opposed to a back surface of the first input disc, a tubular back surface cylinder wall is provided on each of the back surfaces of the first input disc and the second input disc so as to project therefrom.
Combined ball bearing, main spindle device, and machine tool
A matched ball bearing includes four or more rows of angular ball bearings axially aligned, two or more rows of the angular ball bearings with contact angles in a same direction being arranged in a back-to-back combination. The respective angular ball bearings have same inner diameters, respectively. The respective angular ball bearings with contact angles in the same direction have same outer diameters, respectively. The respective angular ball bearings with contact angles in different directions have different outer diameters, respectively. With respect to at least the respective angular ball bearings having the larger outer diameters, the angular ball bearing positioned at an axially outboard side has a ball diameter and a contact angle greater than those of the angular ball bearing positioned at an axially inboard side.
SCRIBE SAW HEAD ASSEMBLY FOR CUTTING LOINS
A scribe saw head assembly is provided for a loin puller and has substantially reduced wear and increased life of the assembly components. A pinion assembly includes a pinion shaft and a thrust bearing. The shaft has a flange to support the thrust bearing, which is retained by a pair of retainers. The flange and thrust bearing provides constant contact between the pinion shaft and the standard of the scribe saw assembly, prevents side to side movement of the pinion shaft, and prevents longitudinal floating of the pinion shaft.
Combination bearing
Rolling bearings are stacked with their center lines extending in a vertical direction. Each of the rolling bearings has an inner ring, an outer ring, a plurality of balls, and an annular cage. Each of the rolling bearings has a structure that induces, upon rotation, an action that causes lubricating oil to flow upward along the outer ring in the annular space. The cage has an annular portion provided adjacently below the balls to prevent air from moving to the outer ring side from the inner ring side.
