Combination elastomeric and ellipsoidal plain bearing
A bearing assembly is for movably coupling first and second members, one being movable relative to the other. A plain bearing section includes an inner ring connectable with the first member and an outer convex bearing surface. An outer ring is disposed about the inner ring and has an inner concave bearing surface disposed against the inner ring bearing surface. The two bearing surfaces are formed such that one bearing surfaces slides against the other when the movable member displaces about a first axis and two bearing surfaces engage to prevent displacement between the two rings when the movable member displaces about a second axis. An elastomeric bearing section is disposed about the plain bearing section, is connected with the second member and formed such that at least a portion of the elastomeric bearing section flexes when the movable member angularly displaces about the second axis.

The riser tensioner bearing is an asymmetric bearing having an outer member comprising a cylindrical outer profile and an at least partially spherical interior profile, and an inner member comprising an at least partially spherical outer profile and a substantially cylindrical outer profile.
Turbo machine
A turbo machine of the present disclosure includes a cylindrical bearing housing, a rotation shaft, a bearing, a bearing holder, and an end elastic body. The rotation shaft is located in the bearing housing. The bearing rotatably supports the rotation shaft at least in a radial direction of the rotation shaft. The bearing holder faces one end of the bearing and is fixed to the bearing housing. The end elastic body is disposed between the one end of the bearing and the bearing holder in the axial direction of the bearing and is in contact with the bearing and the bearing holder. The end elastic body is formed of a material having a lower modulus of elasticity than a material forming the bearing holder.
Guard tube for supporting a drive shaft of a hand-guided power tool
A guard tube assembly for a drive shaft of a power tool has a guard tube with a tube cross section deviating from a circular shape and having an inner contour and a center. An inner support tube inside the guard tube supports the drive shaft. The inner support tube has a bearing sleeve supported by support elements on the inner contour. The inner contour has a first and a second circumferential section. The first circumferential section has a smallest spacing to the center and the second circumferential section has a largest spacing to the center. The elastic support elements have a contact surface contacting the inner contour and spaced at a contact surface spacing to the center. The contact surface spacing is longer than the smallest spacing of the first circumferential section and shorter than or identical to the largest spacing of the second circumferential section.
SLIDING BEARING FOR A STEERING SPINDLE AND STEERING COLUMN FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE
A plain bearing for a steering spindle of a steering column for a motor vehicle. The bearing includes an inner ring with an axially continuous bearing opening for slidably receiving the steering spindle. A prestressing element is configured to exert a prestressing force on the inner ring to clamp the inner ring on the steering spindle and thereby to assign a defined, uniform braking torque.
Inboard bearing assemblies with anti-rotation features
A bearing assembly for coupling a proprotor blade to a yoke in a proprotor system. The bearing assembly is positionable within an inboard pocket of a blade arm of the yoke. The proprotor system is operable for use on a tiltrotor aircraft having helicopter and airplane flight modes. The bearing assembly includes a centrifugal force bearing and a shear bearing having an inboard beam coupled therebetween. The centrifugal force bearing has a mating surface, a lateral movement constraint feature and at least one radially extending anti-rotation feature. The inboard beam has a mating surface in a contact relationship with the mating surface of the centrifugal force bearing, a lateral movement constraint feature operably associated with the lateral movement constraint feature of the centrifugal force bearing and at least one radially extending anti-rotation feature that corresponds with the at least one radially extending anti-rotation feature of the centrifugal force bearing.
BEARING SUPPORT FOR A VACUUM PUMP
This is invention relates to a bearing support for a vacuum pump and, in particular, to a polymer bearing support for a vacuum pump. The invention further encompasses vacuum pumps comprising polymer bearing supports, and methods of manufacturing bearing supports.
ELASTIC BEARING
An elastic bearing has an inner body, an outer body and an elastic layer. The outer body surrounds the inner body such that the outer body and the inner body have a common longitudinal axis, which forms the bearing longitudinal axis as a first spatial axis of a 3D coordinate system. The elastic layer is positioned between the outer body and the inner body. In the direction of a second spatial axis, a distance between the outer body and the inner body is minimal, and free from the elastic layer. In the direction of a third spatial axis, the distance between the outer body and the inner body is always the same, and the elastic layer is arranged therein in order to fill that spacing gap.
POROUS GAS BEARING
A porous gas bearing is disclosed. The porous gas bearing includes a housing having a fluid inlet and an aperture. A porous surface layer is disposed within the housing surrounding the aperture in a circumferential direction. The porous surface layer includes a plurality of segments arranged in a longitudinal direction of the aperture. The porous surface layer is in fluid communication with the fluid inlet. A damping system includes a plurality of dampers. The plurality of dampers is disposed circumferentially about the aperture. The plurality of dampers is arranged in between a first segment of the plurality of segments of the porous surface layer and a second segment of the plurality of segments of the porous surface layer.
MOTOR AND VALVE DRIVE DEVICE
There is provided a motor including a rotor having a magnet fixed to the outer periphery of a rotor main body, a spindle for rotatably supporting the rotor via the rotor main body, a first bearing unit provided at one end side of the rotor in a longitudinal direction of the spindle, and a second bearing unit provided at the other end side of the rotor in the longitudinal direction of the spindle. The first bearing unit slidably contacts the spindle with a set clearance, and the second bearing unit includes an elastic bearing unit slidably contacting the spindle in a state of being elastically pressed against the spindle. When the first bearing unit is defined as a bearing unit at the one end side in the longitudinal direction of the spindle, the elastic bearing unit is configured to be located as a bearing unit at the other end side.
