Bearing element having polymeric coating and method of application of polymeric coating to bearing element for electrical insulation

A method of providing electrical insulation for at least one portion of a bearing element is disclosed herein. The method includes electrostatically spraying a polymer coating to the at least one portion of the bearing element, and the polymer coating comprises a thermoset epoxy coating or a self-adhering nylon powder coating. The bearing element can be grounded during the electrostatic spraying. The method includes heating the polymer coating in an oven at a temperature less than or equal to 220° C. for a predetermined time, such that after removal from the oven, the polymer coating has a porosity of less than 10%. The coated bearing element has a resistance of at least 50 MΩ resistance under dry conditions and 10 MΩ resistance under wet conditions.

Further, an antifriction bearing, an antifriction bearing device, and an information recording/reproducing device use the grease.

According to the invention, the rotor shaft (14) and the transmission shaft (18) are interlocking and coupled by means of an interlocking toothing (44), wherein a lubricant channel (46) is formed in the transmission shaft (18), which feeds into an inner space (48) of the rotor shaft (14) at the end facing the rotor shaft (14) in order to provide lubricant for the interlocking toothing (44), wherein the rotor shaft (14) has an end side (50) at the axial end facing the transmission shaft (18), on which end side one or more openings (52) are formed, extending from an inner circumference (54) of the rotor shaft (14) bordering the inner space (48) to the outer circumference (56) thereof, such that the lubricant channel (46) is fluidically connected to the openings (52) via the inner space (48) and the interlocking toothing (44).

Thus, during operation of the wind turbine, at least one of a slope of the pitch bearing, gravity, and a centrifugal effect cause the lubricant to flow throughout the pitch bearing to lubricate the contact surfaces without exiting a closed volume defined by the inlet seal(s) and the lubricant collection container(s).
