The invention relates to a wastegate actuator mechanism comprising an elongated link plate and a pin which are rotatable relative to each other. The wastegate actuator mechanism further comprises a sliding assembly including a bushing fixedly connected to the link plate and a sleeve fixedly connected to the pin. Assembly of the wastegate actuator mechanism involves pressing the bushing into the eye of the link plate and allowing material of the link plate to deform and to be received in recessed portions of the bushing in the process and/or arranging the sleeve on the pin and allowing material of the pin to deform and to be received in recessed portions of the sleeve in a process of forming an end section of enlarged diameter on the pin.

A contact layer is formed by a deposition method on an inner surface of a first metal element by a centrifuging process, and preferably includes an inner layer of copper alloy and an outer layer of tin alloy. Such a contact layer is used in an articulation joint including a first metal element having a surface provided with the contact layer, and a second metal element with a second surface. The first and second elements are relatively movable such that first and second surfaces slide against each other.
ROLLING BEARING AND WIND POWER GENERATION ROTOR SHAFT SUPPORT DEVICE
To provide a rolling bearing having a hard film on an inner ring raceway surface and an outer ring raceway surface of the rolling bearing that improves peeling resistance of the hard film, shows the original property of the hard film, and suppresses the attackability to a mating material. A rolling bearing 1 has an inner ring 2 having an inner ring raceway surface 2a on an outer circumference, an outer ring 3 having an outer ring raceway surface 3a on an inner circumference, and rolling elements 4 that roll between the inner ring raceway surface 2a and the outer ring raceway surface 3a. A hard film 8 includes a foundation layer formed directly on the inner ring raceway surface 2a or the outer ring raceway surface 3a and mainly formed of Cr and WC, a mixed layer having a gradient composition formed on the foundation layer and mainly formed of WC and DLC, and a surface layer formed on the mixed layer and mainly formed of DLC. In a roughness curve of a surface on which the foundation layer is formed, the arithmetical mean roughness Ra is 0.3 μm or less and the root mean square gradient RΔq is 0.05 or less.
CORROSION RESISTANT BEARING ELEMENTS, BEARING ASSEMBLIES, BEARING APPARATUSES, AND MOTOR ASSEMBLIES USING THE SAME
Embodiments disclosed herein relate to bearing assemblies and methods of manufacturing. In an embodiment, a bearing assembly includes a support ring and bearing elements. The bearing elements are mounted to and distributed circumferentially about an axis of the support ring. At least one of the bearing elements includes a polycrystalline diamond table, a substrate bonded to the polycrystalline diamond table, bonding region defined by the substrate and the polycrystalline diamond table, and a corrosion resistant region. The corrosion resistant region includes a corrosion resistant material that covers at least a portion of at least one lateral surface of the bonding region. The corrosion resistant region prevents corrosion of at least some material in the bonding region covered by the corrosion resistant region (e.g., during use). Other embodiments employ one or more sacrificial anodes as an alternative to or in combination with the corrosion resistant region.
Carbide wear surface and method of manufacture
A radial bearing having a wear surface with improved wear characteristics comprises a steel support, to which is bonded a metal carbide composite wear surface made by first arranging, within a cavity defined between a steel mold and the steel support, tiles made of microwave sintered, cemented metal carbide, closely packing the voids between the tiles with metal carbide powder, and infiltrating the mold cavity with a metal brazing alloy by subjecting the filled mold to rapid heating. The brazing alloy fills voids between the metal carbide particles, the microwave sintered metal carbide tiles, and the metal support, thereby relatively rapidly consolidating the carbide into a wear layer bonded with the steel support without substantially damaging the properties of the microwave-sintered metal carbide tiles.
ROLLING BEARING, WHEEL SUPPORT DEVICE, AND WIND POWER GENERATION ROTOR SHAFT SUPPORT DEVICE
To provide a rolling bearing superior in its seizure resistance, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance by improving peeling resistance of a DLC film and by showing the original properties of the DLC film, even when the rolling bearing is brought into contact with another member under a condition of a high load or an inferior lubrication state causing sliding or a condition in which foreign matters are mixed. A deep groove ball bearing (1) includes an inner ring (2) having an inner ring raceway surface (2a) on an outer circumference, an outer ring (3) having an outer ring raceway surface (3a) on an inner circumference, rolling elements (4) that roll between the inner ring raceway surface (2a) and the outer ring raceway surface (3a), a cage (5) that retains the rolling elements (4), and a hard film (8) formed on the inner ring raceway surface (2a) or the like. The hard film (8) is brought into rolling contact and sliding contact with other bearing component. The hard film (8) includes a foundation layer, a mixed layer formed on the foundation layer and having a gradient composition mainly formed of WC and DLC, and a surface layer formed on the mixed layer and mainly formed of DLC. The indentation hardness of the surface layer measured by a method defined in ISO 14577 is 9-22 GPa.
ROLLER BALL ASSEMBLY WITH SUPERHARD ELEMENTS
A roller ball assembly is provided. The assembly includes a primary roller ball supported by a support element that is composed of a superhard material. The assembly includes a cup defining a cavity within which the support clement is positioned. A cap is coupled with the cup and positioned to retain the primary roller ball within the cavity. Also, a cup is disclosed for supporting roller halls. Additionally, disclosed are system and apparatus incorporating the assembly, as well as to methods of making and using the same.
DOUBLE-ROW SELF-ALIGNING ROLLER BEARING AND WIND POWER GENERATION ROTOR SHAFT SUPPORT DEVICE HAVING THE SAME
To provide a double-row self-aligning roller bearing and a wind power generation rotor shaft support device having the double-row self-aligning roller bearing being capable of preventing frictional wear on a lubrication surface even when being brought into contact with another member under a condition of an inferior lubrication state causing sliding and thereby being superior in long term durability. A double-row self-aligning roller bearing 5 has a hard film 18 including a foundation layer formed directly on a sliding contact surface of at least one bearing component selected from among an inner ring 11, an outer ring 12, and rollers 13a and 13b, a mixed layer formed on the foundation layer and mainly formed of WC and DLC, and a surface layer formed on the mixed layer and mainly formed of DLC. The hard film 18 is used to be brought into sliding contact with other bearing component in a boundary lubrication state. The content of hydrogen in the mixed layer is less than 10 atom %.
Compliant Bearing for Oilfield Applications
The present disclosure provides a bearing design that accommodates misalignment of a rotatable shaft in the bearing and is well suited to usage in a particulate-laden fluid. The bearing can be shaped with a curved surface along a longitudinal axis of the bearing, such as in a curved barrel shape or a ball shape, to provide a point contact instead of a line contact as is the case with conventional plain bearings. The point contact allows the bearing to adjust with a misalignment between ends of the shaft or between the external supports and facilitates the assembly and disassembly of the rotating shaft. Because the bearing compensates for misalignment, the bearing surfaces can have closer tolerances for a smaller gap between the bearing surfaces, which can result in improved performance.
