BEARING ASSEMBLIES INCLUDING AT LEAST ONE SUPERHARD BEARING ELEMENT HAVING SELECTED SURFACE CHARACTERISTICS AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE
Embodiments of the invention related to bearing assemblies and methods of forming the bearing assemblies that include at least one superhard bearing element exhibiting a superhard bearing surface having a polished surface finish or a superhard bearing surface having a textured surface. In an embodiment, a bearing assembly includes a support ring. The bearing assembly includes at least one superhard bearing element. The at least one superhard bearing element includes a superhard bearing surface having a polished surface finished or a textured surface. The at least one superhard bearing element is secured to the support ring.
BEARING MEMBER, HOUSING, AND BEARING DEVICE USING THE SAME
A bearing member according to an embodiment of the present invention is formed into a single cylindrical shape or a cylindrical shape divided into arcs along a circumferential direction, and is assembled to a housing on an outer peripheral side of the bearing member. The bearing member includes an outer peripheral surface provided on a side opposed to an inner peripheral surface of the housing. A maximum height Rz (m) of a surface roughness of the outer peripheral surface is set as 2.00 mRz4.00 m, and a value of ratio between an average protruding-peak height Rpk (m) and a load length rate Mr1 (%), that is a load curve parameter for the surface roughness is set as 0.010Rpk/Mr10.100.
Chain joint assembly
A chain joint assembly includes a pin integral with at least one respective first chain link and a bushing, integral with at least one respective second chain link. The pin and the bushing are coaxial. The bushing has a constant inside diameter. At least one elastic ring is interposed between the pin and the bushing. The at least one elastic ring is substantially aligned with the portion of bushing which is coupled to a respective second chain link.
SLIDING MEMBER AND BEARING DEVICE USING THE SAME
A sliding member includes a bearing alloy layer, a solid lubricant layer, particles and a covering portion. The solid lubricant layer is provided on a sliding surface side of the bearing alloy layer and is deposited on the bearing alloy layer. The particles form the solid lubricant layer and are made of metal sulfide. The covering portion is provided over outermost surfaces of the particles on the sliding surface side and are made of metal oxide including the same metal element as a metal element constituting the particles.
Multi-row ball bearing
Provided is a multi-row ball bearing that includes an outer ring, an inner ring, and two or more rows of balls retained by raceway surfaces of the outer and inner rings. Each of the raceway surfaces is formed as a Gothic arch groove, and the outer and inner rings are division races that are divided on at least one of the raceway 5 surfaces at a middle position of the raceway surface.
MATERIAL TREATMENTS FOR DIAMOND-ON-DIAMOND REACTIVE MATERIAL BEARING ENGAGEMENTS
An apparatus is provided that includes a diamond bearing surface positioned in sliding engagement with an opposing bearing surface of a diamond reactive material. The opposing bearing surface is hardened via a material treatment.
POLYCRYSTALLINE DIAMOND RADIAL BEARING
A radial bearing assembly is provided. The radial bearing assembly includes polycrystalline diamond elements, each having an engagement surface in sliding engagement with an opposing engagement surface. The opposing engagement surface includes a diamond reactive material. The radial bearing assembly may be deployed in a variety of components and applications, including in rotor and stator assemblies. Also provided are methods of use of the radial bearing assembly, as well as methods of designing the radial bearing assembly.
Sealed thrust bearing
A sealed thrust bearing includes an inner ring; an outer ring facing the inner ring in an axial direction; an elastic member that covers the inner ring so as to define; an inner elastic seal member that seals a space between an inner circumferential portion of the inner ring and an inner circumferential portion of the outer ring; and an outer elastic seal member that seals a space between an outer circumferential portion of the inner ring and an outer circumferential portion of the outer ring; and a lower member that is disposed below the outer ring for being assembled with the outer ring, and is provided with cation coating. The inner elastic seal member has a lip in pressure contact with an inner surface of one of a cylinder portion and a cylindrical portion of the lower member, and the outer elastic seal member has a lip in pressure contact with an upper surface of one of an annular ring portion and an annular portion of the lower member. The lip of the inner elastic seal member has an area including a portion in pressure contact with the lower member and is provided with an irregular portion having surface roughness (ten-point height of irregularities conforming to JIS B 0601-1994) from 20 mRz to 50 mRz.
TAPERED ROLLER BEARING
A tapered roller bearing includes an inner ring having a large flange surface, and tapered rollers having roller large end surfaces. The large flange surface has an arithmetic mean roughness Ra of 0.1 mRa0.2 m. The large flange surface further has a roughness curve skewness Rsk of 1.0Rsk0.3, and a roughness curve kurtosis Rku of 3.0Rsk5.0. The tapered roller bearing is capable of realizing both stable rotation torque while the bearing is rotating at a low speed, and excellent resistance.
