The present invention relates to a drives haft comprising an elongated monolithic composite tube (20) with a front joint (10) having a tube yoke (12) and a rear joint (40) at a distance from the front joint (10) both are provided at corresponding opposite ends thereof characterized in that an inner layer (24) is comprising carbon or glass fibers which are coaxially wound on top of each other and an outer layer (22) wound directly on the inner layer (24) and the ratio (h1/h2) between the thickness of carbon fiber winding (hi) and glass fiber winding (h2) is bigger than 0.1.

SLIDING MEMBER

One aspect of the disclosure relates to a sliding member. The sliding member includes: a first sliding portion having a first lubricant placed between first parts of a first friction sliding mechanism; and a second sliding portion having a second lubricant placed between second parts of a second friction sliding mechanism. The first sliding portion has a lubricant feed port from which the first lubricant is fed, and the second sliding portion has no lubricant feed port from which the second lubricant is fed. The first lubricant contains base oil and an additive. The second lubricant contains base oil and an additive containing conductive carbon. The second lubricant contains a relatively larger amount of conductive carbon than the first lubricant.

Center bearing assembly including a rotatable weld collar with a tuned damper

A center bearing assembly for a multi-piece propeller shaft includes a stud yoke extending along an axis A between first and second stud yoke ends to define a central stub shaft rotatable about the axis A. A rotatable weld collar is operably connected to the second stud yoke end of the central stub shaft for simultaneous rotation therewith. The rotatable weld collar includes a body extending from a first collar end disposed adjacent the central stub shaft to a second collar end to define an exterior surface. A tuned damper extends radially outwardly from the exterior surface of the rotatable weld collar for reducing noise, vibration, and/or harshness (NVH) generated during operation of the multi-piece propeller shaft. A first shaft segment is operably connected to the rotatable weld collar and a second shaft segment is operably connected to the stud yoke for transferring a rotational force therebetween.

The driveshaft further comprises a gear part (52) which is extending on the connection end (50) and the retaining element (10) is having a sleeve (17) fits to the gear part (52) in axially slidable manner.

ELECTRIC DRIVE UNIT COOLING SYSTEMS AND METHODS
20220003306 · 2022-01-06 ·

Systems and methods for cooling power transmission systems are include providing oil through an aperture defined in a housing to a stator cooling ring, through the stator cooling ring and into stator cooling channels, through the stator cooling channels and into spaces defined between the housing and jet rings, and through holes in the jet rings and onto the end-windings. The stator cooling ring, stator cooling channels and jet rings can encircle the stator and end-windings and, via the holes in the jet rings, spray pressurized jets of oil from various angles onto the end-windings, and in particular middle regions thereof. Seals may be used between the jet rings and housing, and between the jet rings and stator ends. The seals may be compressed so as to form an interference fit between the jet rings and housing or stator ends as the case may be.

COMPOSITE SHAFT WITH OUTER PERIPHERY RING

A drive shaft has a central tubular portion formed of a polymer composite with imbedded fibers. It extends between a first end and a second end. The central tubular portion has an outer peripheral surface. There is at least one ring on the outer peripheral surface of the central tubular portion. A method of repairing a composite material tube includes the steps of (a) identifying a damaged area on a composite tube, and (b) placing a patch on a surface of the tube and over the damaged area.
