The drive device, cover device, and thrust bearing device are arranged such that a partially enclosed spatial region is formed, and at least one damping element of the damping device is arranged in the spatial region. Elements of the drive device, the cover device, the output device and the thrust bearing device are arranged to inhibit liquid entry into the spatial region.

A vent and seal assembly is disposed inside the outer race and defines a plurality of venting cavities disposed serially along the axis A in fluid communication with one another. A first one of the venting cavities is disposed in fluid communication with the internal cavity and a last one of the venting cavities is disposed in fluid communication with an environment of the constant velocity joint for venting air from the internal cavity to the environment.

A contour protruding from the sealing face is arranged on the end-face sealing face(s) of the outer part, against which contour the seal presses when fitted. Said contour, which protrudes nose-like in longitudinal cross-section, provides even at the pre-assembled stage a small seating surface for the seal, such that the contour is fixed in position, without the use of an adhesive, even under small pressing forces, such as those usually applied during the preassembly of the module to which the outer part belongs.
