Each of the first housing portion and second housing portion include a channel (104) extending therethrough. The channels (104) include pins (102) for receiving one or more shims (94) thereon. Brake (10) includes a first stator assembly (60) and a second stator assembly (64) that are separated by a first distance when no shims (94) are on the pins (102). The first stator assembly (60) and the second stator assembly (64) are separated by a second distance less than the first distance when one or more shims (94) are on the pins (102).
SLIDING MECHANISM FOR GUIDE PINS OF A DISC BRAKE ASSEMBLY
A disc brake assembly includes an anchor bracket, a guide pin, a sliding mechanism, and a damping member. The anchor bracket may have at least one bore formed therein. The guide pin may be adapted to be disposed in the at least one bore and slidably support a brake caliper relative to the anchor bracket. The sliding mechanism may be adapted to be disposed in the at least one bore and to slidably support the guide pin in the at least one bore. The damping member may damp sliding motion of the guide pin relative to the anchor bracket.
System and method for providing drive shaft braking for irrigation machines
The present invention provides a system and method for providing drive shaft braking for an irrigation machine. According to an exemplary preferred embodiment, the present invention includes a system for providing drive shaft braking during the operation of an irrigation machine where the irrigation machine includes a drive system having a drive motor and a drive shaft. According to a preferred embodiment, the system in accordance with the present invention preferably includes a cam attached to the drive shaft, an extension arm having a first securing point, a securing arm having a second securing point and a spring attached between the first securing point and the second securing point. According to a further preferred embodiment, the system of the present invention preferably further includes a follower mechanism secured to the extension arm, which applies continual frictional pressure to the drive shaft in response to the force applied by the spring to the follower through the extension arm. According to a further preferred embodiment, an exemplary system according to the present invention functions to hold the drive shaft in place when rotational force is not actively applied to the drive shaft by the drive motor.
CALIPER HOUSING
The disclosure relates to a caliper housing and method of assembling the caliper housing. The caliper housing includes a) a caliper body having: i) an inboard side having one or more openings; ii) an outboard side distanced from the inboard side so that a rotor gap is formed between the inboard side and the outboard side; iii) a bridge structure which extends from both the inboard side and the outboard side over the rotor gap and connects the inboard side with the outboard side; and b) one or more cylinder bodies which are hollow, extend through the one or more openings, and are engaged such that the one or more cylinder bodies are non-moveable relative to the one or more openings.
Caliper guide pin assembly
A caliper guide pin assembly has a tubular guide pin, a cap, a grease valve and a plurality of lubricating grooves; the plurality of lubricating grooves are radially distributed about the tubular guide pin; each of the plurality of lubricating grooves normally traverses into the tubular guide pin from an external surface of the tubular guide pin; each of the plurality of lubricating grooves traverses into the tubular guide pin from a front surface of the tubular guide pin; the cap is concentrically positioned with the tubular guide pin; the cap is positioned about the tubular guide pin, adjacent to the front surface of the tubular guide pin; the grease valve is positioned adjacent to the cap, opposite to the tubular guide pin; the grease valve is adjacently integrated into the cap; the grease valve is in fluid communication with each of the plurality of lubricating grooves.
Disc brake device
A floating type disc brake device in which a body, a support and a cylinder unit are configured separately, and a first piston and a second piston are accommodated in the cylinder unit, wherein the cylinder unit is fixed to arm portions provided on both the rotation-in side and the rotation-out side of a rotor in the support via cylinder attachment portions disposed on the outer circumference side of the cylinder unit.
DISC BRAKE, DISC BRAKE SYSTEM, AND PARKING BRAKE SYSTEM
The invention relates to a disc brake, comprising a brake carrier, a brake caliper, brake shoes, and an actuating piston. The brake carrier has at least one mounting point for mounting on a vehicle. The actuating piston is displaceably accommodated on the brake caliper and is actuatable for carrying out a service brake function of the disc brake. At least one further actuating piston is provided, which in the direction of its longitudinal axis is displaceably accommodated on the brake caliper. For carrying out the service brake function, the at least two actuating pistons are actuatable, and for carrying out a parking brake function, one of the actuating pistons is actuatable.
