Brake mounting bracket
A brake mounting bracket mountable onto a trailing arm or a steering knuckle in a vehicle is provided. The bracket includes a first bracket mounting hole via which the bracket is mounted onto the trailing arm or the steering knuckle. The bracket includes at least one second bracket mounting hole via which a parking brake assembly is mounted to the bracket. The bracket includes at least one caliper mounting hole via which a brake caliper is mounted to the bracket. A vehicle including such a brake mounting bracket is also provided.
Drum brake and brake shoe
A drum brake includes a brake drum with an attaching region for arranging the brake drum on a vehicle part, such as a wheel hub, and a shell region with a first contact face, and a friction lining with a second contact face which faces toward the shell region, the first and second contact face being curved along or in a radial plane.
Disc brake
A brake pad, a disc brake, and a method of fitting a brake pad. At least one of a first brake pad and a second brake pad and corresponding support structures may have complementary profiles on circumferential faces thereof arranged so as to permit the brake pad to be inserted into a corresponding support structure in a transverse direction of the brake pad and at an angle to a circumferential direction of the support structure.
Opposed piston type disc brake
In this disc brake, a pair of brake pads has recesses in the outer peripheral surfaces thereof. A pad spring has a first pressing section extending axially and provided to a base, the first pressing section pressing, toward the trailing side, a first section to be pressed which is provided on the trailing-side side surface of side surfaces which form the recess of a brake padand which are raised outward in the radial direction of a rotor. Also, the pad spring has a second pressing section extending axially and provided to the base, the second pressing sectionpressing radially inward on the bottom surface of the recess of each of the pair of brake pads, the bottom surface being a second section to be pressed which is provided on an outer peripheral section.
VEHICLE DISC BRAKE ASSEMBLY HAVING A BRAKE PAD WITH A SHIM MECHANICALLY RESTRAINED FROM LATERAL MOVEMENT
A brake pad for a vehicle disc brake assembly has a backing plate, a shim, and an adhesive bond between the backing plate and the shim that retains the shim on the backing plate. The backing plate is configured to support a brake lining and has a recessed portion with transverse first and second surfaces. The first surface is a bottom surface of the recessed portion and the second surface is a perimeter surface that defines a perimeter of the bottom surface. The shim has a face surface that is also transverse to the bottom surface. The face surface is configured to engage with the perimeter surface to mechanically restrain the shim in the recessed portion from lateral displacement.
Brake Pad Surface Coating having Predetermined Design
A brake pad having a backing plate, friction lining, and a surface coating adhered to the friction lining. The surface coating may be formulated to generate a transfer layer on a brake rotor faster than the fiction lining alone. The surface coating may be adhered to the friction lining in a predetermined design.
DISC BRAKE PAD SPRING
A disc brake and a pad spring for a brake pad assembly. The pad spring may include first and second arms that extend from an intermediate portion and that each have a free end. The free end of each arm may curve outwardly relative to an intermediate portion and back towards a plane.
Disc brake for utility vehicles
A disc brake for utility vehicles includes a brake disc, a brake caliper spanning the brake disc, a brake carrier, and an application-side brake pad and a reaction-side brake pad, of which at least the application-side brake lining is accommodated in a lining slot of the brake carrier. The brake caliper houses a brake application device having a single pressure plunger arranged to exert a brake application force on the application-side brake lining via a pressure plate. The brake is configured with one or both of an operative plane of the pressure plate being offset in the direction of the exit side at a distance from a plane of symmetry of the disc brake, and a bevel on the exit side of at least the application-side brake lining.
Brake carrier
A brake carrier is provided for a disc brake having at least one brake pad, wherein the brake carrier includes: a wrap-around disc holder that wraps around a section of a brake disc of the disc brake in a frame-like manner; at least one brake pad slot in which the brake carrier guides the at least one brake pad, wherein the at least one pad slot is formed by carrier lugs, support surfaces and bridge struts on the wrap-around disc holder. The brake carrier is produced as a single piece using a shaping method and has a mold partition burr. The mold partition burr is arranged outside of the wrap-around disc holder.
