Actuating device for a mechanical brake system
An actuating device may include an energy recovery unit for a mechanical brake system. The actuating device may have an actuating drive for a brake application movement of a brake part for a service brake function. The actuating device has a force cartridge with a prestressed spring and with a ramp bearing as the energy recovery unit The ramp bearing may be fastened to the actuating drive on one side and to the spring on the other side. The force cartridge is fitted on a line of force action of the actuating drive and interacts with the actuating drive such that a force component for assisting the actuating drive is provided in a manner dependent on an adjustment position of the actuating drive.
Disc Brake With a Synchronization Mechanism
A disc brake, for a motor vehicle, has a brake caliper with a clamping section, which is equipped with a clamping device with a brake rotary lever, at least two threaded pistons, an adjustment device, and a driver device. A synchronization mechanism for synchronizing the rotational movements of the threaded pistons is arranged outside of the housing of the brake caliper within a sealed cover on the clamping section of the brake caliper. The synchronization mechanism has at least one synchronizing element and two synchronizing wheels, a first synchronizing wheel of which is coupled to one threaded piston and a second synchronizing wheel of which is coupled to the other threaded piston. The synchronization mechanism is arranged on the clamping section of the brake caliper (3) so as to be guided about a lever housing of the brake rotary lever. The lever housing protrudes from the clamping section of the brake caliper.

PAD ASSEMBLY FOR DISC BRAKE
An engaging projection formed on a back surface of a pressure plate is inserted into an engaging hole formed in an outside shim plate. A flat surface parts of the engaging projection constituting a side surface thereof are opposed to a linear parts of the engaging hole constituting an inner peripheral edge thereof. When the outside shim plate exists at a neutral position with respect to the pressure plate, the flat surface parts and linear parts are slightly inclined with respect to each other. A rotation of the outside shim plate about an axis of a piston based on a rotation force applied from a leading end face of the piston to the outside shim plate is regulated by line contact between the flat surface parts and linear parts.

Adjuster Assembly
An adjuster assembly for manually adjusting the position of a brake pad relative to a brake rotor of a disc brake, the assembly comprising: a continuous wear sensor; and a manual rewind apparatus to manually reset the position of the brake pad when replacement thereof is required; the manual rewind apparatus comprising a shaft arranged to extend into a housing of the disc brake; wherein the continuous wear sensor is arranged to be located within the housing of the disc brake and is located proximate to the shaft.
Multiple piece pad clip
A pad clip comprising two or more discrete pieces comprising: one or more clip body sections including a bridge attachment segment located at a bridge end, a spring attachment segment located at a spring end, or both; and one or more bridge sections, one or more retraction springs, or both; wherein the two or more discrete pieces are adapted to be attached together at the bridge attachment segment, spring attachment segment, or both. The teachings also include a method of forming the pad clip, comprising: forming two or more clip body sections, each clip body section including a spring attachment segment; forming one or more retraction springs; attaching the one or more retraction springs to the spring attachment segment of the two or more clip body sections; and installing the pad clip about a support bracket of a brake assembly.
Clip for use in a disc brake assembly and disc brake assembly including such a clip
This invention relates to a brake clip for use with a disc brake assembly. The brake clip includes a U-shaped section having a base leg with opposing first and second legs extending from the base leg. An abutment leg extends from at least one of the first and second legs of the U-shaped section. An extension leg extends from the abutment leg. The abutment leg is in contact with an anchor bracket of the disc brake assembly and the extension leg is in contact with a brake pad of the disc brake assembly when the brake clip is disposed therebetween.
DEVICE FOR FASTENING A WEAR SENSOR TO A BRAKE LEVER OF A VEHICLE BRAKE
