Unitary bracket for mounting a brake assembly and brake actuator
A bracket for a brake assembly and a brake actuator includes a unitary body including a tube configured to receive a camshaft of the brake assembly and an actuator mounting arm disposed proximate a first end of the tube and configured to receive the brake actuator. In some embodiments, the tube includes one or more helical ribs formed on a radially inner surface. The bracket further includes either a brake spider or a brake spider mounting flange disposed proximate a second end of the tube. In either embodiment, material may be omitted in various locations to reduce the weight of the bracket. The bracket may be formed through an additive manufacturing process and in a manner that achieve at least one of a predetermined torsional stiffness and attenuation of a predetermined natural frequency.
Omni-track systems for wheels
An omni-track system for mounting onto a wheel may include a plurality of track segments. Each of the plurality of track segments may include a male connector, a female connector, a roller mount, and at least one roller. The female connector may be arranged opposite the male connector. The roller mount may be fixedly secured to the track segment. The at least one roller may be rotatably secured to the roller mount. The plurality of track segments may be linked together to fully encompass an outer circumference of the wheel.
ROBOTIC GRIPPERS
A robotic gripper may be configured to dexterously manipulate an article. The robotic gripper may include two or more fingers containing one or more rotatable contacts each. The rotatable contact may transition between a rotation mode and a braking mode such that the contacts are free to rotate in the rotation mode and are prevented from being rotated in the braking mode. In some instances, the robotic gripper may make contact with the article via the contact pads. Thus, the robotic gripper may dexterously manipulate the article via the contact pads and brake.
ELECTROPNEUMATIC PARKING BRAKE ARRANGEMENT HAVING A SHUT-OFF VALVE AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING AN ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED PNEUMATIC BRAKE SYSTEM
An electro-pneumatic parking brake arrangement includes a shut-off valve and a parking brake module. The parking brake module includes a reservoir connection configured to connect to a compressed air reservoir, a first spring-loaded accumulator connection configured to connect to the shut-off valve, an electro-pneumatic valve unit having at least one electro-pneumatic valve configured to output a spring-loaded brake pressure at the first spring-loaded accumulator connection, and an electronic control unit configured to receive parking brake signals from an electronic parking brake switch and/or a higher-order control unit. The shut-off valve comprises a second spring accumulator connection configured to connect the spring-loaded brakes of the further axle and to shut off the second spring accumulator connection depending on a shut-off signal provided by the parking brake module.
Electric Wheel Assembly Applicable for Parallelly Mounted Dual-Tire Wheel, Axle, and Vehicle
Disclosed are an electric wheel assembly applicable for a parallelly mounted dual-tire wheel, an axle, and a vehicle. The electric wheel assembly includes a wheel and support axle assembly, an internal-rotor hub motor, a planetary gear reducer and a brake system. A planetary carrier is connected to a hub. The hub is connected to a spoke and a rim. The wheel support axle passes through a rotor sleeve and is provided with a hub bearing to support the hub and a whole wheel. A sun gear disposed at an end of the rotor sleeve of the internal-rotor hub motor is a power input of the planetary gear speed reducer, and the planetary carrier is a power output. A planetary gear of the planetary gear reducer is a tower-shaped gear and realizes a relatively high transmission ratio under a condition that an axial length is relatively small.
SPRING BRAKE ACTUATORS
A spring brake actuator for applying a brake of a vehicle includes a housing containing a diaphragm that separates the housing into first and second chambers. A clutch actuator device is for selectively compressing a compression spring such that the spring brake actuator is operable in a plurality of states including a parking state, driving state, and a braking state.
BRAKE DISC FOR RAILWAY VEHICLE
Disclosed is a brake disc for a railway vehicle including: a disc plate portion with a sliding portion in a surface; and a through hole that penetrates the disc plate portion from a front surface to a back surface of the disc plate portion, in which a bolt for fastening the disc plate portion to a wheel of the railway vehicle is inserted. An inclined surface is formed at an edge of an opening of the through hole at a front side of the disc plate portion, and the inclined surface extends larger in a circumferential direction of the disc plate portion than in a radial direction of the disc plate portion.
BRAKE CALIPER UNIT
The disclosure relates to a brake caliper unit for disc brakes, comprising a carrier forming a caliper, a pneumatically operated piston/cylinder assembly, and a brake lining, wherein a piston and a cylinder have a non-circular cross section and are designed as a tandem piston assembly.
Brake actuator using fluid bladder or bladders as fluid chambers
A brake actuator has a plurality of actuator housing portions, a parking piston axially displaceable within one of the actuator housing portions, and a service piston axially displaceable independently of the parking piston within another of the actuator housing portions. A brake actuator rod projecting from the other of the actuator housing portions moves outward of that actuator housing portion upon at least one of fluid supply to a first substantially torus-shaped service brake bladder and fluid relief from a second substantially torus-shaped parking brake bladder. The brake actuator rod can be moved inward into the other of the actuator housing portions upon fluid relief from the first substantially torus-shaped service brake bladder, and fluid supply to the second substantially torus-shaped parking brake bladder or both.
