A spring assembly includes a resilient member having a first and second end shanks and a central helical portion. The first end shank extends in a first direction from the central helical portion, and has a longitudinal axis from a proximal end to a distal end. The second end shank extends in a second, opposite direction from the central helical portion, and has a longitudinal axis from a proximal end to a distal end. The central helical portion includes one or more coils disposed about a central longitudinal axis, and has a first end attached to the proximal end of the first end shank and a second end attached to the proximal end of the second end shank. The axes of the shank ends and the axis of the central helical portion are parallel or are collinear. The assembly also includes an attachment site at each of the end shanks.

A coil spring includes a helically formed wire having end turn portions at ends thereof, a plurality of first rough surfaces, each including first shot peening indentations formed on a part of a surface of the end turn portions, and a second rough surface including second shot peening indentations formed on the entire surface of the wire except for the first rough surface. The second rough surface has a surface roughness different from that of the first rough surface.

A powder composition including a resin and from 5% to 70%, by weight based on powder composition weight, of a corrosion-inhibiting pigment, optionally including from 0% to 65%, by weight based on powder composition weight, zinc, the composition being substantially free from pigment providing a metallic effect is provided. The corrosion-inhibiting pigment may be present in amounts of up to 50%, by weight based on powder composition weight, for example, up to 35%. A motor driving assembly includes a single phase motor and a torque transmission mechanism. The torque transmission mechanism includes a driving member being driven by the motor, a driven member for driving a load to rotate along a predetermined direction, and a connecting device comprising a resilient member and a damping member. The resilient member includes one end connected to the driving member and the other end connected to the driven member. The damping member is coated on or attached over the resilient member, or filled in a gap of the resilient member, or the resilient member is made from a damping material in order to reduce noise produced by the resilient member.
