A rubber composition for vibrationproof rubber is disclosed in which when a total amount of one or more rubber components is regarded as 100 parts by mass, a solution-polymerized styrene butadiene rubber is included in an amount of 85 to 100 parts by mass. This solution-polymerized styrene butadiene rubber is a rubber in which an amount-proportion of styrene is from 10 to 45% by mass, and an amount-proportion of vinyl is from 30 to 65% by mass. The solution-polymerized styrene butadiene rubber is preferably a modified solution-polymerized styrene butadiene rubber. When the total amount of rubber components is regarded as 100 parts by mass, the solution-polymerized styrene butadiene rubber is preferably included therein in an amount of 90 to 100 parts by mass. A carbon black is preferably included therein in an amount of 30 to 100 parts by mass for the same 100 parts by mass.

Method for the preparation of microcellular polyurethane elastomers

This invention relates to a method of preparing a microcellular polyurethane elastomer by reacting naphthalene diisocyanate with a polyol to prepare a prepolymer containing an isocyanate (NCO) group, followed by mixing the prepared polyurethane prepolymer with a plasticizer, water, an emulsifier and the like, and then foaming the prepolymer blend to prepare a polyurethane elastomer, wherein the emulsifier is a mixture of (a) a compound selected from the group consisting of 2,4-toluene diisocyanate, 2,6-toluene diisocyanate, 2,4-diphenylmethane diisocyanate, 4,4′-diphenylmethane diisocyanate, hexamethylene diisocyanate, 1,4′-cyclohexane diisocyanate and mixtures thereof, and (b) a C.sub.2-10 hydrocarbon having a molecular weight of 500 or less with two to four hydroxyl groups, or mixtures thereof. The method of the invention can optimize the viscosity and properties of the prepolymer resulting from the reaction of naphthalene diisocyanate with a polyol, thus improving processability.

STAND FOR EQUIPMENT TRAILERS

A method and system for supporting trailers carrying mechanical equipment, such as hydraulic fracturing oil and gas equipment are provided. One, two or at least three supports extend from the trailer toward ground and are configured to partially support the trailer when in contact with ground, in addition to any axle groups that exist on the trailer. At least one device configured to absorb, damp, or both absorb and damp vibrations from the mechanical equipment during operation is provided. Each device is operatively coupled to, for example integrated with, a corresponding one of the support structures.

IMPACT ABSORBING POST

An impact absorbing post including a first layer, second layer and a third layer formed as a mono-structure and having a length. The third layer is configured for being mounted to a supporting substrate so the second layer and first layer extend in a direction away from the supporting substrate. The second layer is more flexible than the first layer or third layer to thereby form a pivotable link between the first layer and third layer.

DESIGNS AND MANUFACTURING METHODS FOR LIGHTWEIGHT HYPERDAMPING MATERIALS PROVIDING LARGE ATTENUATION OF BROADBAND-FREQUENCY STRUCTURE-BORNE SOUND
20170268591 · 2017-09-21 ·

A hyperdamping inclusion under constraint with large, broadband frequency damping properties is disclosed. The inclusion includes materials under near-buckling constraint such that fundamental eigenfrequency vanishes at near-buckling.

Damping adhesive

Adhesive damping systems are described. A damping system for reducing the effects on a substrate caused by a disruption in the substrate environment includes an adhesive having a plurality of three-dimensional nanoparticles dispersed therein. The nanoparticles are configured to provide a controlled response to an applied force field. The system further includes a sensor which measures an amplitude and frequency spectrum of the disruption. In a use configuration, the sensor determines the amplitude and frequency spectrum of the disruption received by the substrate; and the applied force field is dependent on the amplitude and frequency spectrum of the disruption.

DOWNSPOUT SOUND TREATMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD
20210396014 · 2021-12-23 ·

A vibration and sound deadening treatment applied to the exterior of downspouts or other gutter pieces which quiets any sound generated when water or other weather contacts the downspout. When placed on the exterior of the downspout, especially near turns in the spout, sound generated by rain and water moving through the downspout is dampened by reducing or removing completely the vibrations generated by the rain and water. This prevents the need to place anything inside of the downspout that may wind up clogging the spout and drain.
