Abstract
The invention relates to an article comprising a main body (6, 7, 8) that consists of a polymer material having elastic properties, particularly an air spring bellows (2), a metal-rubber element or a vibration damper. In order for fire-retardant properties to be improved, the article is provided, partially or fully, with a cover (9) formed from at least one flat textile structure and/or at least one three-dimensional textile structure and/or at least one shrink film. The cover can be fire-retardant itself or can be equipped to be fire-retardant.

An article comprising a main body comprised of a polymeric material having elastic properties, wherein the article has a surface which is at least partially covered with at least one cover, and wherein the cover is formed from one or more of a sheetlike textile construct a spacelike textile construct, and/or a shrink film.
8. The article as claimed in claim 7, wherein the cover is formed from a shrink film.
9. The article as claimed in claim 8, wherein the shrink film is configured as a shrink tube.
10. The article as claimed in claim 7, wherein the cover is formed from a sheetlike textile construct.
11. The article as claimed in claim 7, wherein the cover is formed from a spacelike textile construct.
12. The article as claimed in claim 7, wherein the cover has a fire-retardant finish.
13. The article as claimed in claim 12, wherein the fire-retardant finish is based on at least one flame-retardant substance.
14. The article as claimed in claim 7, wherein that the cover is in direct contact with the article surface.
15. The article as claimed in claim 7, wherein the cover is not in direct contact with the article surface.
16. An article comprising a main body comprised of a polymeric material having elastic properties, wherein the article has a surface which is at least partially covered by at least one cover, and wherein the cover comprises a weave having a finish with at least one flame-retardant agent.
17. The article as claimed in claim 16, wherein the cover is formed from a shrink film.
18. The article as claimed in claim 17, wherein the shrink film is configured as a shrink tube.
19. The article as claimed in claim 16, wherein the cover is formed from a sheetlike textile construct.
20. The article as claimed in claim 16, wherein the cover is formed from a spacelike textile construct.
21. The article as claimed in claim 16, wherein that the cover is in direct contact with the article surface.
22. The article as claimed in claim 16, wherein the cover is not in direct contact with the article surface.
23. An air spring bellows comprising a polymeric material having elastic properties, wherein the air spring bellows has a surface which is at least partially covered with at least one cover, and wherein the cover is formed from one or more of a sheetlike textile construct a spacelike textile construct, and/or a shrink film.
24. The air spring bellows as claimed in claim 23, wherein the cover comprises a weave having a finish with at least one flame-retardant agent.
25. The air spring bellows as claimed in claim 23, wherein the cover is formed from a shrink film.
26. The air spring bellows as claimed in claim 25, wherein the shrink film is configured as a shrink tube.
