In a thrust sliding bearing, a lower case, which rotatably slides around an axial center of an upper case, includes a plurality of upper tongues for engaging with at least a case-side protrusion of the upper case and a plurality of lower tongues for engaging with at least a cover-side protrusion of a dust cover, and the upper tongues and the lower tongues of the lower case protrude in the direction toward the axial center from an inner circumferential surface of a cylindrical portion provided in the lower case so as not to overlap each other in the direction of the axial center.

The protective member has a coil configured to detect a relative position between the cylinder and the protective member, and an end portion formed on the one end side of the protective member is arranged so as not to receive a load from the spring receiver.
