Provided is a toothed belt comprising: a belt body that includes a plurality of core wires; a back surface part in which the plurality of core wires are embedded; and a plurality of teeth that oppose the back surface in a belt thickness direction. The back surface part and the plurality of teeth are integrally molded using a thermoplastic elastomer. The toothed belt is characterized in that: a belt strength per 1 mm of belt width is at least 1.85 kN; a pitch of the plurality of teeth is at least 20 mm; the height of each of the plurality of teeth is at least 5 mm; and the thickness of the back surface part is at least 4 mm.

RESIN BELT

A resin belt includes: a plurality of teeth disposed at predetermined intervals along a longitudinal direction of the belt on a running surface of a belt body made of a thermoplastic resin; and a cloth covering the teeth, characterized in that: the cloth is a woven cloth obtained by weaving a thermoplastic synthetic resin fiber used as a warp yarn in the longitudinal direction of the belt and a fluorine resin fiber used as a weft yarn in a width direction of the belt; and a percentage of the fluorine resin fiber exposed on a side of a cloth surface of the teeth is 50% or more per unit area, and a percentage of the fluorine resin fiber exposed on a side of a bonded surface with the belt body is 50% or less per unit area.

RESIN BELT

A resin belt includes: a plurality of teeth disposed at predetermined intervals along a longitudinal direction of the belt on a running surface of a belt body made of a thermoplastic resin; and a cloth covering the teeth. The cloth is a woven cloth obtained by weaving a thermoplastic synthetic resin fiber used as a warp yarn in the longitudinal direction of the belt and a fluorine resin fiber used as a weft yarn in a width direction of the belt. Crimp of the thermoplastic synthetic resin fiber used in the longitudinal direction of the belt is greater than crimp of the fluorine resin fiber used in the width direction of the belt.

BELT WITH BIMODULUS BEHAVIOR DURING OPERATION

A power transmission belt (P) comprises one or more reinforcing elements (R) embedded in a polymeric composition (20). For the belt, a ratio of the maximum tangent modulus MP2 in the range from 1 to 10% elongation to the tangent modulus at 1% elongation MP1 MP2/MP1 is greater than or equal to 2.00. The force at 2% elongation over the width of the belt (P) is less than or equal to 120.0 daN/cm. The belt (P) is obtained by embedding one or more reinforcing elements (R) in a polymeric composition (20). For the reinforcing element, a ratio of the maximum tangent modulus MR2 in the range from 1 to 10% elongation to the tangent modulus at 1% elongation MR1 MR2/MR1 is greater than or equal to 2.00. The force at 2% elongation over the diameter of the reinforcing element is strictly less than 11.0 daN/mm.

Method for preparing a tension member, in particular a carbon tension member, in the production of a belt

A method for treating a tension member in the production of a belt. The belt includes at least a belt body made of a polymer material having elastic properties, a cover layer as a belt backing, and a substructure having a force-transmission zone. The tension member has a ribbed design and is embedded in the belt body. The tension member is treated with an overall treatment mixture which forms a cross-linked polymer that on the one hand enters into a mechanical connection with the tension member and on the other hand forms an adhesive connection with the belt body.
