Disclosed is a wire adjustment plate 110 for use with a suspension wire 150 capable of adjusting and setting the effective suspension distance between a structure and an object to be suspended from and by said structure. The plate 110 comprises at least three see-through holes 121, 122, 123 that are positioned, sized and shaped to allow the wire 150 to pass through each hole for suspending the object with equal distribution of force on the plate 110 at each hole.

Winch rigging link
11981170 · 2024-05-14 ·

A winch rigging link has a body defining a cable retainer and a soft shackle retainer at opposite ends. The body has a length, a width less than the length, and a depth less than the width. Furthermore, the body defines opposing faces bounded by the length and width and spaced apart by the depth. The soft shackle retainer comprises a channel running widthwise across the soft shackle retainer an in between the faces. The channel defines a bearing surface having curvature in a lengthwise and widthwise plane. The cable retainer may be permanently attached to a winch cable and the soft shackle retainer attached to a soft shackle or the like when required for winch rigging. The configuration of the link maximises the bend radius of the soft shackle or the like retained by the soft shackle retainer, despite the relatively narrow profile of the body thereof.

METHODS FOR SHORTENING A LINE, EXTRACTING STUCK VEHICLES, BELAYING OBJECTS, JOINING LINES TOGETHER AND FORMING A V-BRIDLE USING A DEVICE
20190234487 · 2019-08-01 ·

A device for use with one or more lines that includes a unitary rigid body having an annular portion surrounding a central opening and at least four finger sections that extend from the annular portion of the rigid body. A first finger section and a second finger section curve toward each other on one end of the rigid body and terminate in blunt tips that are spaced apart from each other by a gap. Similarly, a third finger section and a fourth finger section curve toward each other on an opposite end of the rigid body and terminate in blunt tips that are spaced apart from each other by a gap. The device maximizes the pulling strength of lines while reducing the possibility of line failure. Also disclosed are methods of using the device for shortening a line, belaying an object, joining two lines together and for forming a V-bridle.

Cord locking device
10359096 · 2019-07-23 · ·

A cord locking device (100) applies compressive forces and restrictive configurations to at least one end of a cord (138) for inhibiting movement of a cord (138) placed around or through first and second objects (146, 172). The cord locking device (100) receives at least a first cord end (142) that passes through a cord lock device (106) and an aperture (126) in a threadably engageable cap (124). The cap (124) applies a frictional force on the cord against the cord lock device to prevent movement of the cord through the cord lock device. A second end of the cord (164) may be inserted into the body portion of the cord lock device (106) to be secured frictionally or alternatively, a second end of a cord may be attached to a connector device (140) which in turn is mechanically attached to a top region of the cord lock device (106).

Helical jumper connector

A helical jumper connector includes a helical support member configured to support a wire. The helical support member includes a first leg having a first helical winding and a second leg having a second helical winding that defines a second axial opening. The first axial opening and the second axial opening are coaxial with the wire when the first helical winding and the second helical winding are wrapped around the wire and cooperatively engage with one another to support the wire. A jumper casting is configured to receive the helical support member. The helical support member and the jumper casting are electrically conductive such that the helical jumper connector forms an electrically conductive pathway to carry electrical current from the wire. A method of making a helical jumper connector assembly includes applying a compression force to a helical jumper connector comprising a helical support member received in a jumper casting.
