Bellhousing alignment device and method
The present invention is a device and method for aligning a bellhousing without a centered opening at the transmission mounting surface to an engine block. The device and method of using the device permit the alignment of the bellhousing to be performed without requiring the user remove a portion of the transmission for use in the alignment process.
ACTUATOR, ESPECIALLY FOR USE IN A MOTOR VEHICLE
In an actuator, which can be used, for example, for an electromotive parking brake, and the housing of which is equipped with a gear mechanism, axial and radial bracings of a worm member take place using a bearing bracket, the limbs of which, on both sides, engage the worm member from behind and reach radially beyond its shaft. As seizing protection against a wedging between the worm member and the worm wheel, the bearing bracket can be slightly displaced in the housing. For this purpose, by virtue of the restoring forces exerted by the spring elements, which are then tensioned, the bearing bracket together with the worm member is pushed axially and the worm wheel 20 is turned.
GEAR ASSEMBLY FOR COAXIAL SHAFTS IN GAS TURBINE ENGINE
A gear assembly for a gas turbine engine has an input gear adapted to be secured to a turbine shaft. An output gear is adapted to be secured to a compressor shaft, the input gear and the output gear having the same number of teeth. A pair of idler gear shafts is provided, each said idler gear shaft having a first stage gear meshed with the input gear to be driven by the turbine shaft at a first stage of speed change. A second stage gear is axially spaced from the first stage gear and rotates with the first stage gear. The second stage gear is meshed with the output gear to drive the compressor shaft at a second stage of speed change. Landmarks are provided for aligning the gears during assembly in a desired orientation.
ADJUSTABLE REGISTER BELL HOUSING
Exemplary embodiments are directed to a bell housing with an adjustable register plate for providing adjustable engine crankshaft-transmission alignment. The bell housing includes a body adapted for attachment to an engine block. The adjustable register plate includes a register bore for accommodating the transmission. The register plate can be secured to the bell housing by inserting register plate fasteners through register plate fastener holes into the corresponding register plate attachment holes of the bell housing. The alignment of the register plate relative to the bell housing, and thereby alignment of the transmission with the crankshaft, can be adjusted by loosening the fasteners and moving the register plate laterally, about the register plate fasteners, relative to the bell housing, and then tightening the fasteners to locate the register plate in the desired position.

The speed reducer includes: a gear housing to enclose a worm wheel and a worm shaft and including one of a first magnetic member and a second magnetic member, which generate attractive force or repulsive force therebetween as current is applied to a position facing the worm shaft in an axial direction; a first bearing coupled to an end of the worm shaft at an opposite side to a motor shaft-coupling portion; and a moving member coupled, at one side thereof, to an outer race of the first bearing and including, at a remaining side thereof, a remaining one of the first and second magnetic members, so that the moving member is axially moved according to the attractive force or the repulsive force.
Transmission for a Power Train of a Motor Vehicle, and Power Train Having Such a Transmission
A transmission for a power train of a motor vehicle has a first stationary housing part having a first axial contact surface, a second stationary housing part, and a first sealing element on the second stationary housing part, the first sealing element being axially compressible. Additionally, the transmission includes a first planetary gear set including a planet carrier, at least one planet gear, a sun gear, and a ring gear. The planet carrier is fixed relative to one or both of the first stationary housing part and the second stationary housing part. One side of the planet carrier rests against the first axial contact surface, where the first sealing element acts on another side of the planet carrier to axially preload the planet carrier against the first axial contact surface to prevent the planet carrier from tilting relative to a rotation axis of the first planetary gear set.
PLANETARY GEAR DEVICE FOR A TURBOMACHINE
A planetary gear device for a turbomachine includes a planetary carrier and planetary wheel arranged in an axial direction between two planetary carrier areas connected to a support appliance, with the planetary wheel rotatably mounted on the support appliance. On outer sides facing away from the planetary wheel, the planetary carrier areas include cone surfaces that enclose connection areas with the support appliance, with diameters decreasing with increasing axial distance from the planetary wheel. Cone surfaces of a tensioning appliance radially enclose and are respectively adjusted thereto and act together such that a force that respectively results from an axial tensioning force of the tensioning appliance applied on the cone surfaces of the planetary carrier areas is applied at the connection areas between the support appliance and the planetary carrier areas. The tensioning appliance cone surfaces operatively connect via a coupling element.
Retention device for speed change mechanism in a gas turbine engine
A gear system for a gas turbine engine includes a carrier that includes a first axial face. A plurality of gears are located in the carrier. An opening in the first axial face of the carrier is aligned with one of the plurality of gears. A housing includes a central cavity and is attached to the first axial face of the carrier. The housing includes an energy dissipating member.
Assembly guide for sleeved planetary carriers
A method for assembling a carrier subassembly for use with a planetary gear train comprises inserting a gear so that the bore of the gear surrounds the bore of the carrier member, and aligning an assembly guide having a bore by engaging a portion of the assembly guide with an alignment feature of the carrier subassembly such that the bore of the assembly guide is aligned with the bore of the carrier member.
