The lock-up control unit is configured to: in a case where the normal mode is selected, disengage the lock-up clutch when a vehicle speed decreases and reaches a first vehicle speed while the vehicle is traveling in a state where the lock-up clutch is engaged, in a case where the eco mode is selected, disengage the lock-up clutch when the vehicle speed decreases and reaches a second vehicle speed in a brake operation OFF state while the vehicle is traveling in the state where the lock-up clutch is engaged, in the case where the eco mode is selected, disengage the lock-up clutch when the vehicle speed decreases and reaches a third vehicle speed in a brake operation ON state while the vehicle is traveling in the state where the lock-up clutch is engaged, and set the third vehicle speed to a vehicle speed lower than the first vehicle speed, and set the second vehicle speed to a vehicle speed higher than the first vehicle speed.

System and method for neutral transmission hold

A method and system for vehicle control including detecting a change in a position of a transmission input interface to a neutral position indicating a transmission mode of the vehicle is shifted into a neutral gear. Responsive to receiving an input sequence at the transmission input interface, changing a neutral hold mode of the vehicle to active. The input sequence at the transmission input interface includes changing the position of the transmission input interface to a park position, holding the position of the transmission input interface at the park position for a predetermined length of time, and changing the position of the transmission input interface to the neutral position. Further, controlling the vehicle to maintain the neutral gear responsive to a change in a vehicle occupancy state while the neutral hold mode is active.

A vehicle transmission includes a shift lever including a receiving unit formed therein, a bullet in which at least a portion thereof is inserted and disposed within the receiving unit of the shift lever, and a detent groove unit which allows the bullet to advance or retreat depending on a profile of a contact surface in contact with the bullet as the shift lever rotates. The bullet includes a guide aperture formed longitudinally along an advancement-retreat direction of the bullet, and a fixing pin having at least one end thereof fixed to the receiving unit is inserted into the guide aperture.

SHIFT CONTROL SYSTEM FOR AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION

A shift control system for an automatic transmission is provided. The system includes a shift switch through which a manual transmission command for arbitrarily changing a gear stage of the automatic transmission can be inputted in a manual transmission mode. The manual transmission mode includes a first manual mode in which the gear stage is changed and maintained by inputting the manual transmission command using the shift switch, and a second manual mode in which an automatic transmission mode is resumed by satisfying a resuming condition after the gear stage is changed. The system includes a mode input device configured to select in advance one of the first manual mode and the second manual mode to be set, the mode input device setting to the automatic transmission mode by the selected mode being changed from the first manual mode to the second manual mode, or vice versa.

SHIFT CONTROL SYSTEM FOR AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION

A shift control system for an automatic transmission is provided, which is mounted on a vehicle configured to be started by an ignition switch being turned on, where an automatic transmission mode or a manual transmission mode is selectively set. The system includes a shift switch through which a manual transmission command for arbitrarily changing a gear stage of the automatic transmission can be inputted in the manual transmission mode, and a controller. The manual transmission mode includes a first manual mode in which the gear stage is changed and maintained by inputting the manual transmission command using the shift switch, and a second manual mode in which the automatic transmission mode is resumed by satisfying a resuming condition after the gear stage is changed. When the ignition switch is turned on, the controller selects in advance the second mode to be set to the automatic transmission.

Electronic control of a transmission

A recreational vehicle is provided including a power source, such as an engine or an electric motor, and a transmission having a variable gear ratio. A sub-transmission coupled to an output of the transmission includes a plurality of selectable gear configurations including park gear and at least one of a forward gear, a neutral gear and a reverse gear. An electronic controller is operative to electronically control the gear configuration of the sub-transmission in response to a set of conditions.

Manual release for medical device drive system

A medical device drive system can include a rotational input, a coupling member engaged with the rotational input, a first gear having an engagement feature sized and shaped to engage with the coupling member, and a second gear coupled with the first gear, the second gear coupled to a movable element. The system can have a first system state and a second system state. In the first system state the coupling member is not engaged with the engagement feature and the first gear rotates without moving the coupling member. In the second system state the coupling member is engaged with the engagement feature of the first gear and rotation of the rotational input turns the coupling member, the first gear, and the second gear to move the movable element.

Variable track joystick devices and work vehicles containing the same

A variable track joystick device includes a support housing, a joystick movable with respect to the support housing, and a joystick guidance mechanism controllable to selectively confine joystick movement to a predetermined track pattern. During operation of the variable joystick device, a controller determines when the variable track joystick device is placed in a selected one of (i) a first mode in which joystick movement controls the first work vehicle function and (ii) a second mode in which joystick movement controls the second work vehicle function. The controller further commands the joystick guidance mechanism to restrict joystick movement to the predetermined track pattern when the joystick device is placed in the first mode, while permitting joystick movement outside of the predetermined track pattern when the joystick device is placed in the second mode.
