A power transmission control device acquires rotation speed information of an idle gear corresponding to a target engagement member and rotation speed information of a sleeve corresponding to an engagement member, sets one rotation speed changeable by a power source as a synchronization side rotation speed, sets the other rotation speed as a target synchronization side rotation speed, allows a differential rotation between the synchronization side rotation speed and the target synchronization side rotation speed to match a predetermined differential rotation by changing the synchronization side rotation speed using the power source after a power transmission releasing state is selected due to a gear changing request, performs an engagement operation, inverts a sign of the predetermined differential rotation, and switches to the power transmission state while allowing the differential rotation to match the predetermined differential rotation of which the sign is inverted.

CONTROL APPARATUS FOR VEHICLE

A control apparatus is mountable to a vehicle including an electric motor, a lock mechanism, and an actuator apparatus. The control apparatus controls the electric motor and a shift-by-wire system provided in the vehicle. The shift-by-wire system performs switching to shift ranges of the vehicle including a shift range and a non-parking range other than the parking range. The control apparatus drives the actuator apparatus to release the lock on the power transmission mechanism by the lock mechanism based on the shift range of the shift-by-wire system being switched from the parking range to the non-parking range. The control apparatus performs torque correction control in which an output torque of the electric motor is corrected such that a load acting on the lock mechanism from the power transmission mechanism is reduced based on the shift range of the shift-by-wire system being switched from the parking range to the non-parking range.

Torque control system for a vehicle powerplant

A vehicle includes a drive wheel, an engine, an accelerator pedal, a torque converter, a clutch, and a controller. The drive wheel is configured to propel the vehicle. The engine is configured to generate power and to deliver power to the drive wheel to accelerate the vehicle. The accelerator pedal is configured to generate an acceleration request based on a pedal position. The torque converter is disposed between the engine and the drive wheel. The clutch is disposed between the engine and the drive wheel and is configured to bypass the torque converter. The controller is programmed to, in response to depressing the accelerator pedal to a position that corresponds with accelerating the vehicle at a desired magnitude, adjust the torque of the engine to accelerate the vehicle at the desired magnitude, regardless of the state of the clutch.

VEHICLE DRIVE DEVICE

When it is determined that predicted required drive power (Tf) which is drive power predicted to be required for a vehicle is greater than a first threshold value (TH1) set within a range of drive power that can be outputted in a second mode, or when actual required drive power (Ta) is greater than the first threshold value (TH1), a control device (10) sets an operating mode to a first mode in which a first engagement device (CL1) is brought into an engaged state and a second engagement device (CL2) is brought into a disengaged state, to control a rotating electrical machine (MG1) and an internal combustion engine (EG) to output the actual required drive power (Ta). In other cases, the control device (10) sets the operating mode to the second mode in which the first engagement device (CLl) is brought into a disengaged state and the second engagement device (CL2) is brought into an engaged state, to control the rotating electrical machine (MGl) to output the actual required drive power (Ta).

Method Of Controlling A Vehicle Drivetrain And Controller In The Drivetrain

A method of controlling a vehicle drivetrain by an electric motor, in order to synchronize the speed of an internal combustion engine and the speed of gears in the drivetrain, wherein if a speed synchronization error e.sub.sync(t) is controlled to remain within a prespecified region for a specific period of time, the synchronization is finished, and a gear may be engaged.

Diagnosis device and diagnosis method for temperature sensor of automatic transmission

A diagnosis device determines diagnoses one of primary and secondary board temperature sensors as abnormal, in response to a condition that a state in which a primary temperature sensor value and a secondary temperature sensor value deviate from each other by a predetermined value or more continues for a predetermined duration or more; performs torque limitation to limit a torque inputted from an engine to an automatic transmission, during driving in a predetermined travel section based on a predetermined condition, after the one of the primary and secondary board temperature sensors is diagnosed as abnormal; and performs transmission shift restriction to restrict shifting of the automatic transmission along with the torque limitation, in response to a condition that the one of the primary and secondary board temperature sensors continues to be diagnosed as still abnormal after the driving in the predetermined travel section is completed.

Power unit

A power unit includes a prime mover and a belt continuously variable transmission. The belt continuously variable transmission includes a drive pulley, a driven pulley, a belt wound around the drive pulley and the driven pulley, and a housing forming an accommodation space in which the belt is disposed. The belt continuously variable transmission changes a speed of rotation produced by drive power output from the prime mover. The power unit further includes a temperature sensor configured to detect a temperature of the belt or a temperature corresponding to the temperature of the belt.

There are provided a transmission control device and a transmission control method that controls a prime mover in a system including the prime mover and a gear transmission. A processing circuitry of the transmission control device executes a process including: determining whether to fall into a predetermined situation at a time of acquiring a shift command; when it is determined as being the predetermined situation, starting a separation control that adjusts an output of the prime mover such that a dog is separated from an abutment surface against which the dog abuts at the time of acquiring the shift command; and after the separation control is completed and before the dog at the first transmission gear position moves out of an accommodation space at the first transmission gear position, starting a synchronous control relating to the dog and transmission gears.
