METAL-TO-METAL SEALING
Methods and systems for metal-to-metal sealing and, in particular, to the use of sintered parts to create metal-to-metal sealing joints is disclosed. In one example, a metal-to-metal sealing joint may comprise: a first mating surface and a second mating surface; wherein the first mating surface is formed on a first assembly having an annular projection with one or more annular grooves and the second mating surface is formed on a second assembly; wherein the projection is configured such that when the first and second surfaces are brought into mating contact, the annular projection on the first mating surface deforms the second mating surface to form a sealing joint. In this way, the metal-to-metal sealing joint between the first and second mating surfaces may minimize oil leakage between two assemblies, thereby improving engine fuel economy while simplifying part manufacturing.
Ignition plug for a cylinder in a combustion engine
The present disclosure relates to an ignition plug for initiating combustion in a cylinder of a combustion engine, wherein the cylinder can be operated in an active mode and in a deactivated mode. The ignition plug comprises a housing that can be connected to the cylinder, an insulator is fastened to the housing and comprises an axial bore hole and a middle electrode is arranged in the axial bore hole to form an annular gap between the middle electrode and the insulator. The ignition plug comprises a sealing element that can be activated in dependence upon the mode of the cylinder so as to seal the gap preventing any seepage of oil during cylinder deactivation.

SEALING ASSEMBLY FOR MATING AN ELECTRICAL DEVICE ENCLOSURE
A sealing assembly for mating two sections of an electrical device enclosure is disclosed. The enclosure includes a top and bottom joinable section. The sealing assembly includes a first sealing section disposed on the top joinable section that has both first and second upper projecting lip extensions. The second upper projecting lip extension has a height less than the first upper projecting lip extension and forms a channel therebetween. A second sealing section is disposed on the bottom joinable section, and includes a downward projecting lip extension and channel. The downward projecting lip extension is offset from the first section first upward projecting lip extension when the top and bottom joinable sections are joined. At that point the downward projecting lip extension engages within the channel of the first sealing section, and the second upper projecting lip extension of said first sealing section is engaged within the second sealing section channel. The second sealing section channel can include a compressible gasket for waterproofing.

Sealing device of a laser machining head
An integrated sealing device of a laser machining head for sealing between a hollow cage member and a conduit of the laser machining head is described. The hollow cage member includes a first contact surface and a first opening therethrough. The first contact surface includes a substantially planar portion and an elastically deformable sealing lip extending therefrom. The conduit includes a second contact surface and a second opening therethrough. The sealing lip of the first contact surface is configured to contact the second contact surface to form a seal between the hollow cage member and the conduit.

Module for sealing an interface inside an aircraft
A module for sealing an interface between compartments of a pressurized cabin of an aircraft. The module comprises a frame, a sheet and a rigid structure. The frame includes an opening surrounded by attachment surfaces. The frame is connected or connectable to a support structure of the aircraft. The sheet is attached to the attachment surfaces of the frame for sealing the at least one opening. The rigid structure is attached to the sheet within the frame without contacting the frame so that a displacement of the rigid structure relative to the frame induces tensile stress in the sheet between the frame and the rigid structure.

Hydraulic tool mount and sealing piston for such a mount
The invention relates to a hydraulic tool mount having a bore into which a sealing piston is inserted, wherein the sealing piston comprises a pin, a seal and a head which are arranged one behind the other in an axial direction (A) and thus form a stack, wherein the seal comprises a circumferential sealing lip for abutment and sealing against an inner wall of the bore in order to achieve a first sealing effect, and the bore comprises a sealing seat which, when the sealing piston is inserted, forms a stop for the head in axial direction (A), so that, in an end position of the sealing piston, the head abuts the sealing seat and thereby closes the bore in order to achieve a second sealing effect. The invention further relates to a corresponding sealing piston.
