The shape of a back-up ring is a V-shaped sectional shape. In the back-up ring, an annular concave surface part having a V-shaped sectional shape serving as a valley toward a high-pressure side is formed on a surface part on a side that faces a seal ring, and an annular convex surface part having a V-shaped sectional shape serving as a peak toward a low-pressure side is formed on a surface part opposite to the side that faces the seal ring. When a high pressure is applied from a high-pressure side, the back-up ring is deformed such that V-shaped angles of an annular concave surface part and an annular convex surface part are increased as the annular concave surface part is pressed against the seal ring, and is brought into close contact with a housing and a shaft.

SEALING PLUG ASSEMBLY

The disclosure provides a sealing plug assembly including a plug body, a guide ring, a first sealing ring and an elastic component. The plug body has an annular outer surface having a plug side and an exposed side opposite each other and a first annular recess located at the annular outer surface and located between the plug side and the exposed side. The guide ring is sleeved on the plug body and located in the first annular recess. The guide ring has a first inclined surface. The first sealing ring is sleeved on the plug body and located in the first annular recess. The first sealing ring is located farther away from the exposed side of the annular outer surface than the guide ring. The first sealing ring has a second inclined surface matching the first inclined surface. The elastic component is sleeved on the first sealing ring.

ROTARY SEAL ASSEMBLY AND ROTARY SEAL FOR HIGH-PRESSURE APPLICATIONS
20200200274 · 2020-06-25 ·

A rotary seal assembly includes a viscoelastically deformable support ring having a high-pressure side first support leg connected by a back portion to a low-pressure side second support leg. The legs laterally delimit an annular groove of the support ring open toward the sealing surface retaining a sealing ring. A rubber-elastically deformable pre-loading element between the seal retaining structure and the support ring pre-loads the sealing ring against the sealing surface via the support ring. A pressure activation of the pre-loading element by an operating pressure prevailing on the high-pressure side, the pre-loading element, which is supported on a support surface of one of the two machine parts, is deformed in the pre-loading direction proportionally to the operating pressure such that the support ring is moved toward the sealing surface with the low-pressure-side support leg thereof and is moved away from the sealing surface with the high-pressure-side support leg thereof.

BACKUP RING AND LIQUID FEEDING PUMP USING BACKUP RING

A backup ring is for contacting with and supporting a plunger seal which is for sealing a pump chamber provided in a pump head of a plunger type liquid feeding pump. The backup ring includes a maximum outer diameter portion of a cylindrical shape and a smaller outer diameter portion. The maximum outer diameter portion includes a maximum outer diameter in a plunger seal supporting surface side that makes contact with a rear surface of the plunger seal. The smaller outer diameter portion includes a smaller outer diameter than the maximum outer diameter portion in at least one part of a portion other than the maximum outer diameter portion.

SUBSEA SLIP-ON PIPELINE REPAIR CONNECTOR WITH GRAPHITE PACKING

A tubular connection system comprises a slip sized to fit about an outer diameter of a tubular, one or more pipeline connectors sized to fit within a tubular housing and comprising a graphite packer and a set of slip limiting rings disposed on either the first side or the second side of the graphite packer against the graphite packer's first C-shaped ring or the second C-shaped ring, and a connector activator operatively in communication with the tubular housing and operative to compress or decompress the first graphite packer.

Pressure activated anti-extrusion ring for annular seal, seal configuration, and method

An anti-extrusion ring including a ring body having a cross sectional shape, a radial contact surface making up a part of the cross sectional shape of the ring body the radial contact surface being configured to preferentially load a radial edge portion of the radial contact surface when the anti-extrusion ring is loaded, an axial contact surface making up a part of the cross sectional shape, the axial contact surface being configured to preferentially load an axial edge portion of the axial contact surface when the anti-extrusion ring is loaded, and an element load surface positioned between the radial edge portion and the axial edge portion and method for creating a seal.

Swivel joint for oilfield pumping stimulation

A swivel joint includes a tubular female member which is rotatably connected to a tubular male member. The female member includes a female race portion having an axially extending inner annular recess, a female inner end portion which is formed at an axially inner end of the recess, and a number of inner annular grooves which are formed in the recess coaxially therewith.
